I have gone to Meineke for years. I started going there for the reasonable price for oil changes but I found that when Dave, the store owner, told me that I needed something extra done, he was honest and spot-on. I have some people that know a lot about cars and they always confirmed Dave's diagnosis.\r \r I recently moved over an hour away but I took my care to Dave because I had a leak coming from an area of my car that I knew would be expensive. Dave showed me that I had a cracked engine block. The repairs would be $4,200. I was devastated because I have 170,000 miles on my 4 year old car and will be done paying off my car in about a year. While I was weighting all of my horrible options, Dave went online and found out that there was a recall on my car for this problem. \r \r Dave could have made a great deal of money off of me but he was honest as I have always found him to be. more

We've taken several vehicles to Dave over the past 2 years. He's honest and does great work. He uses quality products and vendors. When the OEM equipment didn't work for us, he went out of his way to locate a shop that would make and warranty the part in question. We have taken our vehicle to him several times and gotten the honest answer: ""That's nothing to worry about."" That's amazing. So when we hear ""This needs to be repaired"" there is confidence that it truly does! more

They were fantastic here. I went in for a free brake inspection, and I decided to have the front brakes done. There was an unexpected cost in that my master cylinder broke. They cut the labor costs to put the new part in. In the end, I was having financial problems for paying, and they gave me a great discount and coupon for a future free oil change. more

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great service. I had my brakes done at this Meineke about 1 month ago. My car was taken into the garage in a reasonable amount of time. It was diagnosed, the manager told me exactly what was needed to fix it with quotes and I was allowed to choose what was done. Friendly service and I feel confident the work was done right. more

I had to go get brakes done before a road trip, I went to Meineke and Dave did a free check on the brakes and made sure to keep me informed every step of the way. It was a good experience ( as best you can have with car issues) and it was affordable. He even gave me a discount from a promotion i didn't know was going on. They were fast, friendly and efficient. and cost effective. more

This is a GREAT place!! I was only coming in for a second estimate. I'm glad i did. I was being charged for something that i didn't need from Pep Boys. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Even Dave, he was working the front area. Went out of his way, on his lunch break to pick my daughter an I up when i van was fixed. These guys are GREAT. Highly recommend more

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable staff. This Meineke is outstanding. David is the owner and is excellent when it comes to diagnosis and repair work. He will show you what the problem is and you don't feel like you are being taken advantage of. Best of all they will get you in quick and they will try to fix while you wait! I recommend to all my friends and family. more

I drive 40 minutes to have my oil changed and any auto repairs needed to this Meineke because Dave (owner) is honest and knows what he's doing. I used to only take my car to the dealership because they always seemed to have good service but the prices where way to hi. I never thought id get better service for about half the cost of dealership repairs. Its so awesome to have found a place i can trust, knows what there doing all for a fair price. more

By far the most trustworthy and honest auto shop out there. The owner David is super friendly and never up-sells. He does a great job and will walk you through every step involved in fixing your vehicle. When your vehicle is in the shop David will actually show you what is wrong and what they can do to fix it. He truly looks out for you and your car's best interest. \r My Personal experience with my truck: After I got my new truck I got really into following all the maintenance plans that the truck manual and dealership said to do in order to keep it running at its best. So when it was time to get one of the maintenance items on the list done I drove it down to see David. He told me that most of the items on the list from my truck's manual and what the dealer said was overkill. He told me it was just a way for the dealership to make more money. However, since I was there he checked out my truck for free and told me nothing was wrong with it or needed to be done to it. \r I have my absolute trust in David and his team. I recommend him to all my friends and family. more

I have used Meineke in Mundelein several times now since getting a coupon for an oil change and highly recommend them for thorough, professional, no-nonsense service and what I feel is HONESTY in a business that is often dishonest. Both Dave, the owner and Robert, the Manager are experienced, patient and concerned about getting it done right-the FIRST time at reasonable costs. I had them check my brakes as another place told me I needed front brakes-they checked and said my brakes were fine. They could have done the work-but were honest instead. I have 5 cars in my family that will now be going here for service. more

Great reliable place to get your car repaired, honest, quick. Staff is helpful and thorough. I would recommend anyone to make the trip to Mundelien to get their car fixed!! The front counter people are fantastic. Big John Barry and tianna rock!\r The men in the back r great. Went shopping and they let our ice cream sandwichs rest in their freezer. more
