Meadowlark Gardens Regional Park 9/27/2005

When you enter into the visitors center you will be delighted at the large indoor tropical garden. There are also displays for both adults and children. Meadowlark Gardens Regional Park covers more than 100 acres, with nature trails, gazebos, lakes, a shade garden, and too much to mention. There is a nice picnic area to eat and enjoy the flora. Admission is rather inexpensive too, I think adults are only $5 and kids 7 and under are free. more

Great Escape 8/10/2005

Located just north of Vienna, near Wolf Trap Farm Park, Meadowlark Gardens offers a great escape from the suburbs. An ideal place to view flora and fauna, miles of walkways and trails traverse many types of gardens. Meadowlark's facilities are commonly used for weddings and picnics. Meadowlark's cherry blossoms are a good alternative to crowded cherry blossom festival in DC. A small fee is required to enter the gardens. Membership opportunities are available. more

Very peaceful and tranquil 8/9/2005

This is the place to go to get away from it all. They have walking trails and three big lakes, gardens, and wildlife in the form of canadian geese and/or ducks. This place is very peaceful and great place to take a walk and get some exercise. There a benches provided so you can sit down and enjoy nature at its finest. There is a nominal fee which is used for park maintenance. more

Beautiful gardens with lakes and gazebos 6/24/2005

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens possesses natural beauty that is tough to express in words. Each bench offers a spectacular and peaceful view of rolling hills, lakes, flower displays and other interesting garden features. The gardens are ever-changing and worth visiting in each and every season. It's worth noting that if you visit in mid-April, you can see cherry blossoms around one of the lakes. more
