We went to Cineplex Odeon Theater a few months ago and I was disappointed because the movie we saw was not in a digital format and there were lines running through the screen throughout the movie. The manager explained that it was a movie that had been out for a while and had therefore been shown a lot. He was quite nice and gave us some certificates to return for another movie.

This store can be a little scary from the outside as it has a militia look about it. I recently visited Ranger Surplus Plus after hurricane katrina to ask about what types of things I should have in our home in the case of a tornado or other disaster which would keep us stuck in our home for long periods of time. The staff was very helpful and suggested some of the basics we should stock in case of emergency.

The Yorkshire Furniture store is located right next door to The Furniture Center on Maple Ave. in downtown Vienna. I was disappointed in the selection both of these stores had. I have been looking for larger pieces (wood) and antiques but have found nothing of interest in the couple of times I have gone.

I am always on the lookout for nice wood pieces and various antiques so I visited the Furniture Center on Maple Ave. in downtown Vienna. I was very disappointed in the selection they carries. All the furnishings were rather shabby and they didn't carry any nice large pieces. The lady there said they always get in new stock but I have returned a few time and found nothing of interest.

Thanks goodness for Meadows Farms Nurseries because when it comes to all plants I know nothing. On the various occasions I have gone there the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable, I just tell them where I want to plant something, whether there is sun or not, how big the space is and they find just the right plant for me every time. Their prices are comparable to other retailers int he area.

Wolf Trap Farm Park is great for all ages. They have world class plays, concerts,ballet, etc. Tickets are available in all price ranges from balcony to lawn. My kids enjoy the children's theater in the woods which are geared towards toddlers. After the performance they can go on a guided nature trail with one of the rangers.

When you enter into the visitors center you will be delighted at the large indoor tropical garden. There are also displays for both adults and children. Meadowlark Gardens Regional Park covers more than 100 acres, with nature trails, gazebos, lakes, a shade garden, and too much to mention. There is a nice picnic area to eat and enjoy the flora. Admission is rather inexpensive too, I think adults are only $5 and kids 7 and under are free.

I visited Pennywise Thrift Shop & Consignment last fall when I was looking for a black skirt for my daughter's costume. I searched around and not only did I not find any black skirts but I was very disappointed in the items they had in stock. All the clothes looked very worn out and of poor quality to begin with (no name brands). The toys were also int he same shape. I would not waste my time there.

We are members of another Methodist church in Vienna but this last summer we decided to send our kids to the Church of the Good Shepherd's summer vacation bible school. It is a week long program open to both member of the church and non-members. My kids just loved it. The volunteers are all members of the church and they were all kind and patient. We'll be back next summer!

We bought all of my daughters Brownie uniforms there last year and we plan on making another trip this fall. They have a wide selection of Girl Scout and Brownie uniforms and patches and the staff is super friendly. The only drawback is finding it! The Dress Code is hidden on Church St., the Vienna Inn is right behind it. It is also not clear that the store is upstairs.
