McCurdy's Comedy Club

Love coming to McCurdy's. But...The opening Act, along with some have over done it with running down Bradenton. Many of us live there and have for many years in nice homes and love it. Get sick and tired of some guy over weight in a cheap shirt making fun of us living at a nice Country Club in Bradenton. Gets real old. Sarasota has Main St. looking at cars and maybe 2 Restaurants on Water. Bradenton has numerous on the River, Gulf , Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, off Cortez Road and Several Others. Think about it. more

My husband and I have been following this club around all over sarasota. It started at the holiday inn on 41, then went to some restaurant in south sarasota, now it's at it's own place on tamiami trail. Wherever it is, it's a great place to go to have a laugh. The only bad thing I have to say about it is there is a two item minimum that you must purchase when you are at a show. Be it two drinks or a drink and a snack or however you like it...gotta be two. It can get a little pricey that way, but it's still a fun night anyway. They always have great acts there and it is not hard to get tickets to a show. They have non smoking shows for those of us that don't smoke and a smoking area for some shows, in the back of the theater. I definitely recommend this for a fun time out with friends. more

I went here with a bunch of people on my birthday. Although my friends told the comic it was my birthday I still had a great time. I am not that outgoing as the comic will make fun of you. Not good!! But the nice thing is if you get on their mailing list you will get free or discounted offers for other shows. As long as the comic is not a special feature you may be able to get as many as 20 free tickets on your birthday. That way you tell the people you got the tickets they get the drinks. They do offer a variety of drinks and they have some snack foods to go with it. Not much though so go to dinner and catch the late show! more

This place is loads of fun! This places always has great comedians. I always leave with my jaw hurting from laughing so much. There is a 2 drink or item min. The drinks or items can be expensive. They always have free tickets. For a good time out I would recommend going here. more

This place always has great comedians! Many times you can get free tickets to a show. They do require a two item min. when you are there. Les puts on great shows. The place is kind of hidden so look closely for it when you go there. Be perpared to have fun. more
