My husband and I have been following this club around all over sarasota. It started at the holiday inn on 41, then went to some restaurant in south sarasota, now it's at it's own place on tamiami trail. Wherever it is, it's a great place to go to have a laugh. The only bad thing I have to say about it is there is a two item minimum that you must purchase when you are at a show. Be it two drinks or a drink and a snack or however you like it...gotta be two. It can get a little pricey that way, but it's still a fun night anyway. They always have great acts there and it is not hard to get tickets to a show. They have non smoking shows for those of us that don't smoke and a smoking area for some shows, in the back of the theater. I definitely recommend this for a fun time out with friends.

I do not have anything good to say about this place. I used to work at petsmart and the vet there constantly had 'botched' surgery pets come to them that had been screwed up at this vet clinic. I tell people to steer clear of this place...they are the cheapest in town but at this place you get what you pay for.

I had to take one of my birds in to get it's nails clipped. The vet near my house was too busy, booked nearly a month in advance (even for just a stupid nail clipping). So I decided to try this one. There are not many vets in bradenton that deal with birds. I was very satisfied with my visit. I only had to wait a couple minutes to get into an exam room. The staff was very friendly with my bird and seemed very knowledgeable. The vet I had previously taken my bird to always made every nail bleed and acted as though it was just a fact of life and I needed to have it done more often. This vet came in and noticed the veins in the nails were long so he decided to use his dremel instead of clipping. I have never seen this done on a bird, I do it on my dogs but I didn't think it could be done on a bird. He handled my bird gently and was very careful with the dremel. He did not make any of the nails bleed and it was nice to not have sharp jagged nails to deal with later. I don't have any experience with this vet otherwise, but I thought they deserved a good word from the one experience I did have with them.

I have been to many vet clinics all around bradenton. I have seen many bad vet clinics to which I will not go back and do not recommend to people. but Desoto animal clinic is a hit with me. I was referred there by a co-worker who spoke very highly of them. I was really happy with my visit. There was not a long wait at all in the waiting area and the vet tech was very friendly and attentive to my dog. The vet came right in and talked to me for quite a while about various things and answered all the questions I had without making me feel rushed or like I was taking up his time. I have been back since and have been equally impressed each time, they were not just trying to impress me with my first visit...they just have general professionalism and care for animals. I will be taking all my pets to them from now on.

My hubby and I joined this gym together. When we signed up they had a 'buy one get one free' promotion going on so we only had to pay the initial cost for one membership. The trainer that showed us around was very professional and took his time to show us everything, especially pointing out things he knew we'd be interested in. I was glad to hear that they have trainers on staff that you can ask questions to without any extra cost. I also like the fact that they have a variety of classes throughout the day and evening. So far I have only been able to attend one class, but I was very happy with it. They also have someone working there whose job it is to walk around the gym and wipe all the equipment down with disinfectant, that's all he does all day. So you know the stuff is clean. And even the smaller rooms, like the bike room, all smell clean. no BO here. They have a great variety of equipment to do all sorts of exercise on too. I am a fan of this gym!

This is a nice little restaurant to go to on a special night. My hubby and I go there from time to time and we've always had a good experience. They are opened for breakfast too on the weekends...

So many choices as well although my favorite is the chicken and shrimp at the hibachi table. I understand that whole shopping plaza is on the chopping block to be demolished and DaRuMa has their own building somewhere in sarasota they will be moving to. Hope I can find it when they move!

This place is a favorite of the retiree's and senior citizens...especially because it is walking distance from a large retirement type apartment complex. From what I recall the food is pretty good, but the stench in there is so unbearable that I cannot eat there. I don't know what the smell is from, but it's mainly in the waiting area...maybe it's water damage to the carpet or something. The remodeled not too long ago and we went in there afterwards thinking it would have fixed the smell problem, but no such luck.

This place has always been pretty good as far as quality of ice cream. But one time my hubby and I went there for ice cream, we stood in the line OUTSIDE since I had my pet parrot on my shoulder. When we got to the front of the line the service person would not take our order because she said we were not allowed to have 'pets' with us. Come on people, there were pigeons all over the place...on the floor, under the tables etc...what is the problem with me having a small parrot on my shoulder. They made a big stink out of it and we left, never been back!

Plus, they have these really great italian soda's with different flavors... blackberry, raspberry etc... Everything is great here!!!
