Editorial review from Citysearch 9/19/2012

Lubrano's is the best italian food I have ever had! All of the food is made fresh to order from scratch and is perfectly cooked every time! The portions are very generous you really get your moneys worth at such a great price! Lubrano's also has daily specials to help you save a couple bucks! However, it isn't just the food that makes Lubrano's so awesome, the experience is always marvelous and the environment is perfect! This restaurant is great for families, meetings, casual or formal dinner dates, and pretty much good for dine in experience! The service is always wonderful, all of the staff is so friendly and the food comes very quickly and to everyones convince Lubrano's has vegetarian options, Gluten free options, and a take out menu and is always very quick! more

Nice Family Restaurant 6/28/2011

We had a very good experience here and I have been here multiple times throughout the past 4-5 years. Our last visit the waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. I love the Lubrano's Stromboli, the Chicken Bella Donna is very good as well. My mother loves their eggplant parmigiana! The restrooms are clean and on the left side of the restaurant. This is a small restaurant and the space that they have has been utilized. I will go back again! more

Not a Good Experience 3/4/2011

What a huge let down this restaurant was. From the doughy free appetizer to the pasta fagioli to the pizza, we were disappointed. The soup was watery, bland and colorless. We returned it and the waitress came back to the table saying the kitchen wanted to know why, but no apology was offered and it made us feel awkward. (Speaking of awkward, the bathrooms are in the center of the restaurant. That alone was a turn off.) more

What a great place! 5/13/2010

I had no clue that there could be a gem like this in morrisville! I took my mom there last night for mother's day and the waitress took such good care of us we felt like we were family! The kids menu was great, plus my little one ate for $2.99 because it was Sunday! My mom even made special requests and every single one was taken care of! And to make our mothers day even better the food was awesome! I had the vodka sauce with shrimp, my mom had clam sauce, my husband had a pizza with a delicious herb taste to it and tomato on top ( i don't remember the name but it's on the menu) and my son had his favorite meatballs! we will definately be going back a lot! great place all around! more

Favorite Italian Restaurant in the Triangle! 5/6/2010

I came here for the first time last week with my family and I was very impressed. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. I had the Veal Saltimboca which was really authentic and the veal was tender and fresh. The rest of my family had Pizza which was excellent. The entire meal was a great value for our family of 4. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the owner stopped by many of the tables to make sure we were all enjoying our meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good a Italian meal. Pros: Friendly service and great food! more

wonderful pasta 5/4/2010

We are new to the area from up north. It's nice to find a neighborhood restaurant to get the kind of italian food we're used to. We had several different pasta dishes that were wonderful. Of course the garlic knots are very good. My kids liked the gelato. There were several different flavors to choose from, very good. Pros: good service, delicious food more

Awesome Itlaian! 1/11/2010

We're from Boston and we know good italian! Now we only had pizza and a stromboli but both were fantastic. I miss northerner pizza & now have found it. Fresh ingredients - no canned stuff here. I look forward to returning & trying some entrees. Pros: Great service, fantastic food more

Prettty Disappointing 7/22/2009

Went there tonite with my boyfriend,. we have both worked in the food service industry for a combined total of about 18 years. Our server was very very polite, I think her name was Claire. Our food however was made with cheap ingredients and poorly created. We started out with the Calamari which has already gotten a pretty terrible review here on citysearch. We got the calamari and it was honestly the worst calamari I have ever tasted... chewy to the point of being inedible. Our server didn't even ask how it was, I think because she prolly had an idea what we would have said.. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and my boyfriend ordered the spinach ravioli with a vodka sauce. These meals came with salads which were RIDICULOUS. The salad included iceberg lettuce, huge radishes, tomato, cucumber, and GREEN OLIVES. Pretty awkward salad.... awkward being the only word I can use to describe the awe in which this salad was prepared. The spinach ravioli was OBVIOUSLY cheap and frozen but the vodka sauce was pretty good and probably made to order. The eggplant Parmesan was GREASY and pretty gross.... the red sauce was pretty good though. All in all this place should probably be avoided.... not very good or worth the money............. Pros: really sweet servers Cons: awkwardy terrible food. more

Good Italian! 6/10/2009

Really great Italian food here. My husband's favorite is the stromboli. Good prices for what you get. Good environment to grab a bite to eat. Quaint locale. more

A quaint little find 6/7/2009

Lubrano's is a little Italian gem that we were lucky to find! The veal parmigiana is delicious but the tiramisu is to die for! I am picky about my tiramisu so I was happy to find a place that has such a great atmosphere and such delicious tiramisu! more

Come Guys...it is so OBVIOUS! Shamus12321, GeekLady and buchell profiles were all created by the owners in a FUTILE attempt to bolster their reputation through FAKE REVIEWS. If you click on their profile names, you will see that the only review in the history is for this joint. And the sad part is... the food used to be really good, and now, really, really bad stuff going on here! Pros: Used to be good food Cons: Cheap Attempt to Bolster their Rep ! more

Excellent Italian Food 1/5/2009

I love this restaurante. I grew up in a suburb of New York City and I am accustomed to great italian eats. I can tell you right now that Lubrano's is the best italian food in the triangle. I have even served tables there for a period of time and I am close friends with the owner. Like any restaurantes, Lubrano's can sometime have a bad day. But the good outweighs the bad here. I have been eating there for years; since the place opened. One thing that is very special about this place is that they will cook your food exactly how you want it. You can basically create your own pasta dish and add any sort of meat or vegetables to it with any time of sauce. The Pizza is truely delicious with thin and crispy new your style crust. And the stromboli's.... fuhget about it. If you have had a bad experience at this restaurante, just give it another chance. These family owned restaurantes are a rare breed these days and we need to keep them up and running. And another thing, make friends with the employees. They are all really nice people and getting to know they will enhace the quality of your experience there. Pros: Create your own entrees, great prices, delicious food. Cons: Service quality varies with the server. more

Wow - this place has really gone downhill 4/30/2008

I used to be a regular at Lubranos because I work nearby. However on my two recent visits I have been really disappointed. During my first visit, my soup was cold and stale and there was a black curly hair in it. The management waved me off when I tried to diplomatically explain (there was a crowd in there). On my second visit (yes, for some reason I decided to go back when a coworker wanted to go there), my pasta was undercooked (think crunchy), the soda was watery, there were 2 errors on my bill, and the place was filthy - the floor, the table was sticky, and there was chewing gum stuck to the wall. It's a shame when a neighborhood place goes downhill like this. I will not be returning. Pros: Close to office parks Cons: Bad food, bad service, hygeine more

Excellent food and service 2/18/2008

The breads were freshly baked, the Caesar's salad was delicious, and the lasagna was as good as... well... my own homemade. Our waiter was very pleasant and checked on us and refilled the tea drinkers glasses often. They also had a nice wine list and dessert selections. Pros: The atmosphere was warm and friendly, food was excellent, great service. more

Best kept secret! 12/18/2007

Excellent!!! Italian food. Authentic taste and healthy portions. Staff and owner are very friendly and personable. Prices are cheaper than most italian restuarants. A must try. You'll be hooked like I am. A loyal customer for the last 6 years. Food is consistentely outstanding authentic. No chain food here! Pros: Excellent food and prices Cons: Seating a little tight for romantic dinners more
