I eat here about every 3 years. They still haven't improved upon their taco meat. Do not order anything with seasoned ground beef! It is the worst I have ever had. It makes Taco...

NOT impressed! Parents drove an hour to eat here with family, decided to bring me back some since I couldn't make it there... brought me burritos- it was seriously disappointing- it had no cheese, no lettuce, no tomatoes, no sour cream (although it was requested), all it was was two flimsy tortilla shells OVERFLOWING with meat. Not only was there a ton of meat and nothing else in these, they covered one of the burritos with MORE meat on top of it. It was just gross. I'm glad I didn't waste the gas to go there myself, but sad my parents actually spent money on that crap. more

don't drink and drive! 1/20/2012

Ratings depend on how much you drink!!!! My husband took me to Loma Linda's because he knows that is one of my favorite places to eat and I love the margaritas. They really pissed me off when I tried to get another drink and they wouldn't give it to me. My husband was drinking water so I coulud drink but they cut me off!! WTF,, if you have a DD why do they cut you off????? You think they keep track of every drink that people drink?? Hell no if they are not busy, but they do if they are not busy!! If you want to drilnk go when the rest of the drunks go!! If I ever go back it will be later when they are busy so they don't cut me off. I left there 3 hours ago and I'm still pissed off!! If i want to drink till i get sick that is my business as long and I don't drink and drive!! more

Worst Food 3/7/2010

Terrible experience, american cheese served on all mexcan dishes when asked for a substitution for white cheese. they would not allow that. I even offered to pay the difference. My sister claimed that the salsa was straight out of a jar ( La Victoria).. Neice ordered a tostado which she was unable to eat. My daughter had a hamburger (frozen) which she did not eat.. Cons: Lousy service & food more

Great food! Excellent service! 8/9/2009

My family and I dined at Loma Linda's last night. We had fast service and excellent food. Our waitress greeted us quickly and with a smile. She brought our food equally as fast. She did not bring chips to the table. When we inquired she replied that the restaurant is family owned and in order to keep prices low, they charge for the chips. No big deal, I think they were 75 cents. We fed our family for $33.00 with appetizers and cocktails! Great night out! Pros: Best margarita in town Cons: You may have to wait on the weekends! more

Not Impressive 7/11/2009

A couple of my friends and I went out to try something new and decided on LLs. We, almost immedietly, were very disappointed. I found the service to be rude. I was confused on why we had salsa on our table with no chips. Being familiar with Mexican restaurants and what a night out in these atmospheres usually consists of, I thought maybe they had forgotten the chips. When I asked the server about it he said it is a sales incentive. ""We give you the salsa as an incentive to buy the chips."" Ridiculous. I have been to restaurants all over the country and none of them have done something like that. We told the waiter we have never been here before and asked what appetizer he recommends. He said he didnt know. What?? We decided on the shrimp and instead of taking our order and just letting us know about how long it would be, he discouraged us from ordering. ""That takes 20 minutes; are you sure you want to wait that long?"" That was the most expensive appetizer they had and last time I checked, he should be trying to make the most money since tips are determined by a percentage of the total bill. His additude was obvious, but something that is hard to describe in words. Service can make or break a place, regardless of the quality of the food. He broke it. There were also several things that are not typical in Mexican restaurants. For example, the menu included things typical in American restaurants, that should not be in Mexican food; french fries and burgers, the kids menu did not include any Mexican food. They had misprints in the menu that would be typical in someone that is not familiar with real Mexican food. We had already been disappointed up to this point so we left the money for what the bill would be on the table and left. There was no point in being disappoined for the rest of the bill. Pros: No bad traffic getting there Cons: Not real Mexican food. more

From number 1 Best Margarita's to just OK food was 12/11/2008

What hapened ? change in ingredients? Your Margarita's used to be the best anywhere and I mean anywhere. I've been a patron of LL since 1967 . W hen I turned 21 the one and only place I wanted to have my first (legal) drink was a Margarita no ice at of course at LOMA LINDA'S. After an order of Nachos ""One more Margarita Please"" My Entree of Chicken and Cheese Enchilada's was Fantastic ""One more Margarita please...It's my Birthday! I gave my key's to my girlfriend and proceeded to go to a surprise party I knew about. A great time had by all. At the party we tried to make a margarita like LL's. NO SUCH LUCK>>NOT EVEN CLOSE. Pros: good service, food was nice and hot Cons: parking...are you kidding, margaritas where weak more

Fun atmosphere 6/16/2008

For being a ways outside the city, Loma Linda's is always hopping. Their food is pretty good... a mix of authentic Mexican, ""Americanized"" Mexican and straight out American food. The pulled pork tacos are awesome! But if you are looking for excellent authentic Mexican, you may not like this restaurant. Pros: Drinks, atmosphere Cons: Not the place for truly authentic Mexican food more

Well, at least the nachos are good! 6/5/2008

I eat here about every 3 years. They still haven't improved upon their taco meat. Do not order anything with seasoned ground beef! It is the worst I have ever had. It makes Taco Bells seem like fine dining. But they do have great nachos and fried Ice Cream. Pros: Nachos Cons: Dried out burnt tasting ground beef more

Good Midwest - Mexican fare 6/13/2002

The food's not bad for Mexican food in the midwest. They do combine some more Americanized dishes (ribs, etc.) with the more traditional Mexican dishes pretty well -- so you can take a family there with a variety of tastes. Not great, but decent. Pros: Varity of dishes, Mix of Amero-Mexican Cons: Food just OK more
