Little Richards House of Donuts

My Late Father in Law used to own this business and it was one of the BEST food places of all, not just donuts but the claim chowder was heavenly! I only wish we had lived closer so we could eat there everyday (of course we would have gained hundreds of pounds!! I have many good memories of Little Richards along with the Kite shop, they had to sell both when illness struck but hopefully the current owners are keeping up the traditions and hopefully they are making the donuts just as good as the original "Little Richard" did. We were told they had the best maple bars in the WORLD and they just might! It was HUGE and great! The coffee was good, our turkey sandwich was made with love and care and was totally yummy! The three hard working gals behind the counter were all so friendly and helpful, I was scattered before my morning coffee and they were sweet and refreshing! On my next visit to Westport I know where I'll be going! more

Good: The donuts were wonderful! they seemed to melt in your mouth with each bite and the food was excellent!. Bad: I loved everything!. Other: I cant believe anyone could say that the place was disappointing! the customer must enjoy company in their unhappy lives and should think about why the service may not have been up to their standard (most likely they were rude and expect to be treated like a God). Amazing fresh donuts! Waitress's are DEFIANTLY friendly all four of them. Kept coming back periodicly through the day and all of them were WELCOMING and NICE! Coming back for sure!! more

Good: NOTHING. Bad: Rude waitress, three ordered lunch, two recieved lunch. So loud you couldn't hear yourself think, Horrible fish sandwich, small piece of fish on a COLD hoagie bun. Waitress needs to be fired!. Improvements: New wait staff, customers with ten screaming kids need to be told to quiet down so people can hear conversations at their own table. Meals at each table served at the same time so everyone at the table can eat together instead of serving partial table.. Other: The waitress needs to be fired! As a business owner myself, I would not tolerate my staff acting so unprofessional and rude!. more

This donut shop was only open Fridays to Sundays, 8am to 2pm. Being city folk, this seemed atrocious the first time we arrived at this little house of donuts. This is because we're used to having stores open until at least 6pm. We decided to come back during open hours and we're definitely glad we did. There wasn't an extensive selection of donuts - two shelves. The host gave us some description of the donuts - they have old fashioned style and then the white cake type donuts that are a bit more dense. There were different frosted toppings. THeir specialty items were the Maple Monster Log and their Fritters. We ordered half a dozen of the cake donuts and one of the Monster and Apple Fritter. They were delicious! I am glad that we bought 6 of them and split them between 5 people because we were able to have a bite of each kind. My favourites are the chocolate donut, and the apple fritter. The host was essentially friendly. She asked us if we had ever been to the donut store before and when we said no, she offered to give us a free butterbar donut to split between the 4 of us. more

Fresh homemade donuts. We wanted to come here on the first day we were here but to realized they only opened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8am-2pm. Came back the second day and checked them out. The lady was really friendly and explained to us the different kinds of donuts they had. She even offered us a sample! How generous. We ended up getting an assorted half-dozen with Apple fritters and maple log. The banana creme was my favorite. Their old style donuts are better than the typical round donuts. But very soft, fresh and not too sweet. more
