Modern art is not really my style but i can appreciate it as a form of art and therefore think it is a great place to observe it. The MOMA has a great variety and collection of moderm art. One may take it for granted if you have not entered a modern art museum in a different city. You could easily spend a day here and there are often special exhibits that are featured. A must see -- at least once -- even if you don't like modern art so much.

Everytime I'm at Pike Place either by myself enjoying the market or with friends who are out of town, i must stop by this bakery and pick up a pastry and cup of coffee. The perfect way to stop in the midst of a busy day, sit, relax, enjoy good eats & treats and then be on my way again. The experience is even better if you bring a friend to share with :)

Came here for lunch -- the location is in Georgetown -- there are 4 other locations of Via Tribunali across Seattle. I picked this one becuase it is about 30 seconds off the highway (I-5) which made it very convenient to get to, even if i had to drive a couple miles more on I-5, it is better than trying to drive local roads through downtown seattle. They offered thin crust pizza cooked in a wood brick oven. The waitress was especially friendly to us and explained that the tables and some of the decor was over a hundred years old. I had pizza with prosciutto on it and it was tastey -- a bit on the salty side for me. Recommended is the Dante pizza. It was topped with argula and provolone and prosciutto. The lunch menu offers the same sized meal but at a lunch price.
I would come check this place out again if i were craving pizza. But i didn't think it was better than the NYC thin crust pizza i had in NYC last year (ie. Grimaldi's... or Patti's? yum!!)
This might be the best you can get in Seattle though :)

When i discovered this place in Hong Kong, i went every day I was there to get a fresh mango shake with sago and coconut milk. DELICIOUS!
I was so happy when I found out they have opened a location in San Francisco - short plane ride away :\.
The menu is not exactly the same but they have a good selection if you like fresh fruit (especially mango) desserts. My favourites are the sago \ coconut combinations. In Hong Kong they have a multi-fruit dish that contains melon, mango, strawberries, etc topped with ice cream, coconut milk, sago, etc. so good. if you're nearby you should check it out.
Cash only!

This is a place you go to for a casual quick Korean meal. The prices are reasonable and the food you get for the price is great but if you're looking for atmosphere to go with your meal (and willing to pay for it) then this isn't the best place. This is more of a "help yourself" fast food Korean restaurant. It is located in a grocery store.

I signed up for Bikhram Hot Yoga last week after a friend referred me to this studio. I was skeptical of Hot Yoga to begin with becuase I thought it would be stinky in the hot studio. But I was reassured it doesn't smell and that it's an awesome workout. So i tried it out and signed up for 4 months unlimited classes. So far I'm REALLY enjoying the classes! The instructors have their different styles (how hot to keep the studio, how long to hold the poses, how much they explain what the poses are to help achieve, etc) but they are all very encouraging and help meet you at your level and then try to push you beyond to get the maximum benefits of the workout. There are first time student discounts so it's an option to try if you just want to try it for a week.
One less star from 5 because they don't have lockers so there's really no security for your belongings. They do however, lock the studio once class starts so no one can get in.

I asked for a Matzo ball soup and sandwich. The Matzo ball soup (being takeout and all) came with two matzo balls. I was only expecting one. It was pretty tastey with lots of seasoning in it. So not your plain matzo ball . it was also a bit on the dense side. The chicken stock was full of carrots and celery and large chunks of chicken. Very hearty. My only complaint about it was that there was a top layer of chicken fat on my soup which made it a bit unappealing at first to eat. I dished it out with my spoon and drank the rest down to the last drop.
My sandwich was good too. I believe it was pastrami. Lots of cheese my sandwich - it looks like a couple of slices at least - and lots of meat. Somehow they managed to melt the cheese of the sandwish without toasting the bread. Not entirely sure how they accomplished that. Great sandwich though - packed with good flavours.

My appointment was set between 8 am and 930am. They arrived at 815am ready to go. I had moved most of my furniture before they arrived. But when they got here, they set up right away, made sure they were parked in an appropriate spot, and then took care to protect my home with wall corner protectors, mat covers, etc. They asked me which trouble spots to focus on, asked about any concerns i had before they started cleaning. They moved the furniture as they cleaned and set up the legs on blocks of foam so it would allow for proper drying while your furniture stood on top. In the past, when I used Sears Carpet cleaning, they said they would clean around the furniture. If you book online, Stanley Steemer offers 10% discount. They also leave you with a bottle of carpet cleaner as well as extra foam stoppers for any other furniture that you would like to move back into place once they are done.
The prices between Stanley Steemer and Sears carpet cleaning are comparable - maybe a 30 dollar difference - but the fact that Stanley steemer will move your furniture, provide you the materials to protect your furniture and give you a bottle of carpet cleaning afterwards makes it worthwhile. They also come in a team of two to help make the job faster. I would definitely use Stanley Steemer again in the future.

Dined on one of the hottest days in Seattle this summer (think 100 F) and so eating spicy food may not have been the best choice - or maybe it was. I've been told that when you eat spicy food on a hot day, it helps to cool you down. Regardless, the food at this new restaurant was spicy. I tried their dan dan mein and it came in a large bowl (portions are of larger than typical size), dried with minced pork (yum!) and peanut chili sauce. Mixed it all together and enjoyed the entire bowl. Also tried their appetizer mixer - at the front of the restaurant is a bar of small traditional authentic chinese appetizers - you can pick 3 for $5.99 i believe.
I would like to try this restaurant again on a cooler day - the place might have had AC but it was really hot inside.

YUM! I liked the fact that the custard is not super sweet - a welcome change from ice cream. A regular size comes with two scoops. I selected two scoops of vanilla with brownie pieces as a topping....
