Best

I started going to Lifetime fitness 4 months ago and I would never say I regret joining, I LOVE that they are open 24 hours because sometimes my schedule changes a lot and I can't...

Worst

All reviews seem positive

unfriendly staff, crowded with kids, frequently damaged machine handle pads 3/25/2008

i have been going to lifetime shelby since it opened it has always been more of a social club for teens- twenties which i always found annoying (i'm young too, just serious about being there), but i stuck it out avoiding social times. well it has gone to a whole new level. i've been going fairly late (9:30-10:00) to avoid the crowd but the past 5 to 6 months have been ridiculous. i park far away, the work out floor is PACKED with people just sitting on a machine socializing or using the phone. girls that block the drinking fountain primping at the mirror for long periods of time. tonight i decided i was too frustrated to continue so i went to the pools to do a few laps, all the lines were filled which i normally would not be to upset about, but 2 of the lines were taken up by some guys hanging out chatting. i didn't want to go to the leisure pool cause (not that they were doing anything wrong) there were 7-8 men sitting in chairs ogling, which made me very uncomfortable. i was going to go to the whirlpool, only 1 of the 2 were open and it was packed with ALL young guys. for how much i spend every month you would think that the machines would be in better condition. as far as the gym goes i know most people think its really nice but i think they can do better. rochester is a little nicer. Pros: 24 hours even most holidays, pool Cons: unfriendly staff, crowded with kids, damaged machines, extra $ for amenities more

Pretty... 2/8/2007

BEAUTIFUL! 24.7,, but have fun looking for machines. It is not ap lace to go if you want REAL weight loss. ladies go to nulady bally fitness usa.... also, expensive packages that do not nclude EVERYTHING Pros: 24.7, clean Cons: unfriendly staff, no personalization, chage xtra for everything more

This gym is very nice i must say but i recently quit because of how incredibaly crowded it is!! FOr the amount of money you pay to join and continue to pay each month, it is irratating to have to circle the parking lot for 20 minutes and than wait for machines. The gym itself is very spacious and nice, lockerrooms are the best i have seen..lots to do, i love the free classes, there are many varieties to choose from and the pools are wonderful...except for the kids everywhere! If you are serious about losing weight and toning up i would reccomment a smaller, cheaper gym..this one seems to be more a social gathering place... Pros: Pools, Hours, Free Classes Cons: Expensive, Crowded more

Over Priced 4/25/2004

The club itself is nice, cosmetically speaking. But the prices are through the roof, and the fee to join is way to much. Yes, Lifetime Fitness has it all, but it costs WAY TO MUCH!! Pros: Childcare, Pools Cons: , CROWDED, EXPENSIVE more

Lifetime Review 3/16/2004

I started going to Lifetime fitness 4 months ago and I would never say I regret joining, I LOVE that they are open 24 hours because sometimes my schedule changes a lot and I can't always go at the same time. Not only the hours, but the amount of equipment they have available to use, I've never had to wait to get on a machine! Pros: Enough Machines, Open 24 Hours Cons: , A bit expensive more
