Can I get some machaca on the menu? After being sorely disappointed that they didn't have this staple on the menu my expectations went down a bit.
We started with some ribs. They were ok, a little short on meat and the sauce was a little sweet for my taste. Since they didn't have machaca, I went with the old standard, the shredded beef chimichanga for my entrée. It was good, it really was, but it just wasn't what I have come to expect from Las Casuelas. Maybe they are struggling to live up to their high expectations, maybe not, but it just wasn't quite as good as I expected.
All and all a solid 3 stars, but their Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage locations are far superior in my opinion.
Good day.
