FRAUDS AND LIARS. Bijan Albarian is a salesman there, and he has tortured me for almost 6 weeks. I did a test drive based on a good internet price, and then he and I negotiated a deal - all in writing - for the car. But when I am on the way there he says the car is not available. He wants to sell me a more expensive car, though. I insist he get a car to fulfill the deal and legal obligation he made. So for a month, he promises one is coming but not arrived yet, even twice giving me dates it will show up. Then he finally says he cannot get one and suggests a more expensive car at the sister dealership - he even sent me copies of the dealer invoice (if it was a real invoice; I now have my doubts). I accept the price he gives me and make arrangements to buy the car... then he says that one is not available because it is being used in a movie. I tell him I will wait two weeks for it then, and then he says that it is not available either and again suggests I buy a more expensive car off the Encino lot. When I get angry at his dishonesty, he blames ME for being upset at his dishonesty (or maybe just incompetence). I think Land Rover Encino and Bijan Albarian engage in bait-and-switch as a rule. Horrible experience. No one should ever go there. more

My husband and I just bought a new Range Rover Sport Supercharged from Terry. He was terrific all around. He gave us a very fair trade on our old car and the entire experience was totally pleasurable, something unusual when normally buying a car can be a hassle and a long experience. Moe in finance made things a breeze. The whole staff were not only pleasant but we look forward to buying our next car with them. more

Land Rover Encino's repair quote: $1,700 minimum. What I paid to an outside mechanic for the job: $300. I expect to pay a premium at the dealership. They have special knowledge and equipment. But more than FIVE TIMES the cost? That's not a premium; that's a dishonest mechanic. Not only that, they told me there was a ""50-50 chance"" that once they did that initial repair, I'd have to spend another $4,000 on an engine rebuild. I had the work done elsewhere, obviously, car runs great, that was a few months ago. If that's the ethic in the service dept, how can I trust the sales staff - or anyone else for that matter. I leased a vehicle from Land Rover Encino in Feb. 2008. The staff there was much different, more service oriented (or so I thought). Within a few mos to a year, most of the people who were assets to the dealership were no longer there. Dexter, their ""best"" salesman, sold me my Range Rover. He has done absolutely NO follow up since Feb. 2008. My lease is ending. I need another vehicle & I have never received correspondence from the dealership or Dexter to aid in me choosing possibly another Land Rover vehicle. Their sales staff is unprofessional. They do NO follow up if you purchase/lease a vehicle. They add a ton of other things to your contract (insurance coverage for different parts of the car like tires & windshield) that significantly increase your monthly payment. I had to take possession of my car before I needed it. I had no mats. I had to return to get a set of mats. My car wasn't washed properly, more or less detailed. When I called for service or to get info re: my tire insurance when I had a flat, it took them almost an entire day to return my call. Never again. more

The sales staff and management of this dealership and of its sister dealership, Range Rover South Bay should be listed in a dictionary under ""sleaze."" My daughter recently telephoned to report that she had successfully negotiated her first car deal. She was very, very proud. The deal included Land Rover Encino's taking her old leased vehicle in on trade and leasing her a new vehicle at no additional cost except for the customary drive-offs. The agreement was that Land Rover Encino would pay off the old lease. I met her at the dealership and we co-signed the deal. About a month later we began receiving Past Due notices from the bank which financed the lease on the previous vehicle. We attempted to contact the general manager at Land Rover Encino but he would not return my calls. We have hired an attorney to assist in the repair of our damaged credit and recovery of damages therefrom. Whatever you do find another dealership! Don't be lazy.
