This place is one of my standbys. Love the salt and pepper prawns, eggplant with garlic sauce, and the string beans with pork. more

We had delivered to Surf Air at San Carlos Airport as there are not onsite food options. Spicy Kung Pao - liked it! Unfortunately we ordered chicken and got pork - thought GrubHub was supposed to solve those mix ups but I guess they still happen. Spring rolls are greasy - but when aren't they. Oh and they forgot to put napkins or utensils in the bag. Please try harder. more

Ordered a lunch special online through EAT24. When I showed up on time, they said I owed $2.00 more than the total stated online. When I insisted on the quoted total, they checked the online order and said they would honor the price "just this once." Then I had to wait 10 minutes for the food I ordered over 40 minutes prior. I don't think they even started cooking my food until I paid for it. The Kung Pao was ok, but the rice was drenched in soy sauce. Will not be ordering from them again. more

I usually order from King Chuan for family dinners...used them for a business lunch (20orders!) and everyone was happy with their order. Everything labeled clearly and nothing was missed from my order...Prompt service!! more

With King Chuan, l don't ""order Chinese,"" I go there for Black Mushrooms with Tender Greens and the freshly made vegetable pot stickers. Heck, I would make the trip just for the Hot and Sour Soup. Living in San Carlos, I have eaten at King Chuan many times. The food is consistently delicious so much so that even as a vegan I have found a restaurant capable of keeping the dining experience interesting. If I let me three kids write about how they like King Chuan, we would have to link to their facebook pages. I will be at King Chuan soon again and there is a good chance I will order Black Mushrooms with Tender Greens. yum. more

They took just about the full amount of time that the delivery window said, it would have been nice if it had been a bit quicker. The food was tasty. Not the best we've ever had, but tasty. more

& thank goodness it is!! it used to be a restaurant to avoid. however now it has become a place you must try! the service is impeccable and the food is drool worthy...try the wonton soup its amazing!!! To anyone that has written king chuan off as crappy chinese food needs to take the opportunity to give it one more try... I know and Love chinese food! and this place has GOOOD chinese food. Never in my life been treated so horrible as a customer before! 30 minutes to closing and the manager still seated us. if it was okay, then why did the manager toss our plates and cups on the table, like a dealer? When asked if it was okay for us to eat, he forced a smile and said, ""oh sure!"" then why throw the napkins down? we never said or did anything to provoke such attitude. we felt unwanted. the manager insisted once we said we'd do them a favor and order TO GO. Afraid of no tip maybe? We left and ordered TO GO next door at San Remos' (Recommended!). Received a free dessert too! So bottomline: King Chuan has no sense of customer service and rude in every sense. Don't attempt to give these guys your money to eat their food! They do not deserve your business! Very good local Chinese restaurant in downtown San Carlos. Highly recommend this place to friends. Consistantly good food. Henry always has a big smile for the customers! Pros: Clean, Good Service, Good Value more
