Big park with lots to offer 12/30/2005

There is a well kept 8 mile paved trail around the park. Great for biking or walking. Rollerblade at your own risk - there are hills! The two beaches are usually pretty busy but very nice, nonetheless. there is a small petting farm that kids just love. Bring your helmet - it is the rules if you are biking or rollerblading. The park is somewhat winding so pay attention when you are driving around. more

Nice Trail, Always Busy 8/20/2005

Buy an annual pass. You will use it, I swear. I have walked this trail countless times. It is always clean and well maintained. If I had a single complaint it would be that there are some pretty long unshaded stretches. You will see a lot of wildlife here. I had a close encounter with a fawn once and I don't know who was more startled! The bathroom facilities are maintained as well as any park, which means try to remember your own tissue! There are special events here all the time, the annual 4th of July fireworks are very good and it is a great place for a family picnic. Oh yeah, they have a beach, golf course and nature center, so there really is something for the whole family! more

Beautiful Park! 8/15/2005

This park has lots to offer! Kensington features an 18-hole regulation golf course, a disc golf course, a nature center, a farm learning center, picnic areas, beaches, boat rentals and a paved hike-bike trail. The path is paved and is 8 miles long running around Kent Lake. The local law does require that bikers and in line skaters wear helmets on the path. They also offer boat tours during the summer on a pontoon boat for only $3.00 per person. Its a beautiful way to spend the day and get some exercise too! more
