Juliet is a scam 9/28/2009

I ordered an Oly bed in early February, paid in full as per their special order policy (close to $4000, including the local delivery fee) and had not heard a word as the 16-week lead time came and went. Now 7 1/2 months later, after numerous unreturned voicemails, I stopped by the store today to find it completely empty and closed. I spoke to several neighboring shop owners who had no idea was planning to move. She left no forwarding address. I am stunned to see any positive reviews on this site and feel certain they were posted by Juliet and staff. Thanks to whomever posted her forwarding address and home address, I'll try those tomorrow. If Juliet somehow manages to stay in business I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. We paid up front for custom couches and she never delivered them. She has been giving us the run around for over 7 months. When the last resort of legal action was threatened on our part she said "get in line". DO NOT BUY unless you walk out with the furniture. Pros: NONE!!! Cons: EVERYTHING!!! more

Think before you go 8/18/2009

We paid for an item from this store that was never delivered. Luckily, we were able to get our money back after quite a bit of struggle. My sense is this store is in some financial trouble. If you shop here, do not pre-pay: walk out of the store with the item you purchased, otherwise you may never get it. I was hoping to support a charming local New Orleans business like this, but they did not come through for me. Maybe they can turn it around. I hate to say it, but I agree with the recent poor reviews. more

Beware while ordering things from here. They charge you then avoid getting back with you for weeks as you wonder where your merchandise is. Then when you ask them they are not responsive and cannot fulfill their obligation. Pros: nice store Cons: poor customer service more

I purchased Oly Furniture from Juliet Home throughout the years and their company provides excellent service. Oly often takes 16 weeks or more to get their merchandise in and the store kept me posted as to when the purchases I made would arrive. It took a long time but once I recieved it I was truly happy. They have some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The owner came to my home and measured for free and I live in Lafayette. Her decorating advise was really great and everything turned out wonderful. I will continue to shop at her store for the value and great attention that I recieved. Great follow up service 1/16/2009

I purchased a table from Juliet Home and the table top came in damaged. Within a week Juliet HOme had a replacement table top sent to my home and she managed to even allow me to keep the one that was slightly damaged. Now I can use the damaged one for awhile and then have a back up. Amazing selection of items for your home. I spoke to a gentleman who was very helpful. The delivery men are gfreat I tipped them because they helped me and were so precise on how they handled the furniture. It was unpleasant to have a damaged table arrive after along wait but they immediatly addresed it and they got me what I needed. I will shop there again. I have questioned all of our employees about this matter and none have heard of any complaints that resemble the one you describe but want to resolve any problem that you have. Juliet Home Furnishings has been in business for 7 years and we are proud of the customer service that we provide to our customers. As for requiring our clients to pay in full for special order items, this is a policy which we have practiced for 7 years. Our clients understand that a custom order by its nature is for a specific customer and before an order is placed, full payment is logically required. Regarding lead times, from time to time our suppliers do fall behind schedule and if this happens (rarely), we contact our customer and advise them of the delay. Great Home furnishings Store Excellent Service 9/19/2008

I wanted to post how happy I was with my Oly purchase from Juliet Home furnishngs. Normally, this manufactuer takes several weeks to get pieces in however Juliet the owener managed to get us the piece we ordered super quick and I am extremely happy. One of the best stores I have ever been in and the customer service is great. They called me before I ever needed to call them and provided exceptional service. i have purchased several pieces from Juliet Home Furnishings and we recently purchased an incredible rug. I recieved an issue of elle decor and it featured a madeline weinrib rug that i fell in love with and i could not belive that their was a store in town that carried the line. the store is chic and innovative and has extremly beautiful things. I met with Ashley and she explained the Madeline Weinrib line to indepth and was extremly helpful. The quality and the pricing of the rugs is amazing. I returned to the store and purchased the rug from another sales asssociate and was so happy and i can not wait until i recieve it. it is time that New Orleans has the opportunity to purchase locally which are normally not accesible to us. overpriced, slow delivery 9/9/2008

This store is attractive, and the staff seems friendly and knowledgeable. However I was promised 4 week delivery and it took 12. They also demand payment in full at the time of the sale rather then a deposit and balance due upon delivery. The American leather set I purchased was at full list, and I discovered while waiting for my furniture that there are other places to purchase this line that offer a large discount of up to 25% Many of my phone calls to the owner Juliet went without followup or a return call, delivery appointments were not kept and overall customer service was lacking. i was recently in Juliet's and I was greated by a young lady by the name of Maria. She was great. she was very sweet and they are having a great party for white linen night!!! So i willl definitly be there you should go! they are discounting oly 20%off!!!! There prices already beat everyone in the city that carries the brand. i cant wait to get there and make my purchase durning there sale. also dont forget that its tax free friday and saturday. Great Curtains 7/8/2008

Hello! I purchased curtains from Juliet's and have been waiting for weeks and we just had them installed. They were great and worth the wait. Juliet's is a very nice store with a number of things to choose from. I met with Juliet and she was extremly patient with me as I thought about numerous different colors and style of fabrics. she came to my home and did not charge for the consultation. she did not know I was going to purchase the custains however she gave me the time and attention that other companies do not. I waited several weeks for the curtains however it took me at least 4 weeks to decide on what fabrics I wanted. finnay, i decided and it was a great collaboration between the two of us. I trust Juliet's and I had confidence that they were going to be great and they turned out to be just that. I hight ly reccoment Juliet's for curtains. It was expensive but I chosse expensive fabric the labor cost was amazingly inexpensive and the her time well i guess priceless. I can finnaly sleep in my bedroom!!!!! I look fowrd to tonight. Best Furniture 7/4/2008

Juliet Home Furnishings is having a Great sale Right now 30% off American Leather Furniture. I purchased 2 recliners for my husband. I normally would not purchase a recliner however these look like Chairs!!! I could not belive it. The quality was Great as was the service. I cant wait to get them I have to wait 4 weeks but its worth it. I will post again once I recieve them. Looking foward to doing business again with their great staff! Pros: Great Sale more
