My hubby and one of our good friends went to JRBs last night. The bartender was super nice (thanks Kat, U rock!) and always made sure we were taken care of, even when it started to get really busy. It was the first time my hubby and I had ever been to a bar in Simi and we're glad we picked JRBs. Great jukebox and a good mix of people. The band was also really decent. We will def be going back next time we party in Simi! more

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BARS IN SIMI...FOR ONCE YOU CAN ACTUALLY GO TO A DIVE BAR WITH GOOD ENTERTAINMENT AND EVEN BETTER BARTENDERS. MY DAD OWNS A BAR IN SAN LUIS OBISPO AND EVERY TIME I COME DOWN TO VISIT, MY MOM AND I GO TO JUDGES. THEY ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING GOING ON. THE LAST TIME I WENT IN THEY HAD A PJ PARTY! SOO SWEET. THE COP SHOP IS ACROSS THE STREET BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM HASSLE ANYONE. SOMETIMES STUPID PEOPLE TRY TO FIGHT (SO SAD) BUT SECURITY IS RIGHT ON IT. THE TRUTH IS I LOVE THIS BAR. GO JUDGES!! Great place to hang out in Simi Valley! The last reviewer is misinformed. During the month of June when fannypak wrote their review the owner of the bar was not working and nobody has ever waited 20 minutes for anything at this bar. The air conditioning works just fine, if you are hot just ask ,the staff is very sweet, and very fast when need be. I have never seen a staff work so well to make people happy and feel at home. At this bar you will feel like you are part of the family. There may have been problems in the past, however, they have done a great job of weeding out the bad crowd. There is always something going on, from karaoke to DJ to live band they even had a luau with sand on the dance floor last month. If you want to have fun go to Judges, if you are a complainer you are probably on the 86 list. Pros: Fast, friendly service with a smile Cons: none more

It's usually a cool place to have a drink with friends. Not too big, not too small. You can play pool and darts and SOMETIMES have a cool band playing. Avoid this place on a hot day since they apparently do not believe in air conditioning. Also avoid the old drunks who go there on a daily basis...there are a few in particular. I would also recommend not going when the owner is behind the bar as she clearly does not have any experience in customer service. I once had to wait 20 minutes before getting my card back, so I could leave. I had already signed and payed for the tab and was just standing there for her to give me my card back. It's also a $10.00 or $15.00 minumum to use your card there...rediculous. If you're looking for a fight, this is the place to come. I've seen many a fight at this bar and not just at night. Judge Roy beans is a fun place. The former cranky owners are gone, and a nice young couple operates the place with heart. An older locals crowd until nitefall, then the under 30 rolls in, and they are a party crowd. Bouncers are quick to react when the young lads want to mix it up. Usually karaoke or a band, dancing if ya like on a good dancefloor, and prices are tolerable. High Def TVs run all the sports. A jukebox that has every tune you can think of,, and it can be very loud at times. The mostly female bartender staff is always sweet, and they pour a old school, very strong drink. The Simi Police station is across the street. The black and white police cars will park in Judge Roy Beans own parking lot and follow out customers,, so have a Desig Driver, use a cab, or walk. Pool tables, nice booths, we've not encountered mean drunks yet, always clean,, nice place for a drink and entertainment.
