Joseph Anthony is the Best Salon in Syracuse! 3/23/2006

I've been to lots of hair salons during my four years in Syracuse and the service I received at Joseph Anthony was the best. From the interactions over the phone to arriving and meeting the front desk receptionist, I felt very comfortable from the beginning. My stylist did a terrific job and I've been extremely pleased with her work. The salon is very clean and they offer top-quality products. The prices are slightly higher than other salons, but it's definitely worth it. more

Average salon, higher prices 3/20/2006

I wasn't that impressed with this salon. They didn't do anything wrong per se, but they don't have the level of service that I expect for the money I spent here. They needed several days to squeeze me in for a simple eyebrow wax, where most places I have been able to see me that day. When she waxed me, she took several times to get all the hairs and I needed to tell her that were still more hairs! The salon itself is in the middle of the mall, there is no expectation of privacy and people always look in! more

bad manicure 7/14/2005

The staff at the salon were super-nice and the salon is pleasant and clean. However, my sculptured nail manicure experience was awful. They did not have the normal equipment, so most of it was done by hand. Even so, the manicure took much longer than it had to--almost 3 hours! The manicurist seemed as though she was brand new at her trade. She put on lots of extra coats of nail polish and meticulously kept checking and rechecking to the point of insanity. I finally was given the ok to leave and assured the polish was dry. Within about 30 seconds of leaving, my nail polish was ruined because it hadn't been dry. The next day, 2 of my nails fell off. To top it off, they charged twice the going rate. more
