Took in my Canon Eos Mark II for a complete repair. I was absolutely worried about my camera considering the damage it took from the impact. The manager, Mike, was very helpful and knowledgeable about my camera. Repair was quick, and I had my camera back in less than a week. Price was reasonable. Satisfied customer, definitely will return. more

They repaired and saved my favorite camera 11/13/2011

I'm virtually blind in one eye and as such it is difficult for me to get a clear and centered photograph with a digital camera that only has a screen and not an old fashioned view finder. I have a Canon Powershot A620, and the operating system chip had stopped working. I could not find a new camera that had a view finder as they all seem to have the screen. I looked online to try to purchase a new or used Canon Powershot A620 but the new ones were going for around $600 and the used ones were on the same path that mine was on; soon to ""die"" as it were. Anyway, International Camera Repair said that they could repair my camera and they repaired the lens cover at the same time. The price that they charged was a BARGAIN, just a fraction of what a new or used PowerShot A620 would have cost me and they did it in less than a week! I am very pleased with their service and I would not hesitate referring them to anyone who needs camera repairs. more

Untrustworthy. Lied and didn't fix camera. Lost 165 bucks. 1/27/2009

Took camera in for a fix. Was asked to pay 165 up front. I trusted him. So I did. He said it would be done in 2 days. Took 4. Told me they'd call when it was done. I had to come in and the camera was just sitting there. The camera was given back to me. I checked it before signing for it and the camera was not fixed at all. Was exactly the same as when I brought it in. The owner then tells me that the camera wasn't working at all before and he fixed it for me. I brought it in to fix a dirty shutter release button. And the camera DID still work because I had just gone to NY the week before and took tons of photos. The button was just dirty so I had to press down harder. He said it wouldnt take photos at all when I brought it in. Funny because when I first brought it in, he took photos in front of me with it. He gave it back, camera is exactly the same as when I brought it in. No difference. Lost 165 bucks. He says Nikon's are made with the button like that. No way. I know my camera and I know when something changes. DO NOT GO HERE. BURN IT DOWN. Pros: Yes come here to get cheated and lose money!!!! Cons: Lies and doesnt even fix what you request. more

Great Camera Repair 12/29/2008

My Minolta Camera had some serious problems and I sent it to a place that was recommended by a local camera shop. After a couple weeks the camera was returned because they could not get parts. I found International Camera Repair on the internet and talked with them about the problem. They said they would try to find the parts and if I would send the camera to them they would give me an estimate on the cost. I sent the camera to them in Pasadena, CA and I shortly received the estimated cost which to me seemed very reasonable. It took around two months for them to find the parts but they did repair the camera and it is as good as new. These folks were a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone. more

Poor service, untrustworthy 8/22/2008

I had a camera and lens that needed service and dropped both off to ICR in Pasadena. A month later I picked both up, and that's when ICR told me they did not have the ""faulty"" parts they said they had to take out and replace (and which they charged me for), because they had ""disposed"" of them. Since they claimed they ordered all new parts directly from the manufacturer, I called Canon USA's parts depot, who had ICR on file but no record of any parts ordered during the time my camera and lens were in for repair. I asked ICR's owner, Mike Berberian, for proof in the form of a packing slip that they actually ordered new parts as he claimed they did. He refused, saying that packing slips were ""company information"" that ""could not be disclosed."" Cons: You'll get ripped off more

Incompetent and irresponsible. 5/30/2007

Our 16 month old higher-end Sony MiniDV cam was in and out for repair four times between 12/06 and 3/07 because technician insisted reinsert cassette error was due to our using dirty (we didn't and error wasn't consistent with that) tape rather than learn (even by Googling!) and easily fix well-known (in Sony) supply reel fault (C:31:23). Rather than return it a fifth wasted time for more arguing with techie at owner's warm invitation(!), we have complained with Better Business folks (they are members and have a previously unblemished record!) and sent camera back to Sony. more

Bad Customer Service 2/10/2007

My Sony video camera was having sync problems and was not recording properly. This establishment took in for repairs and returned it telling me the problem had been fixed. The vey first time I need it to use it, Christmas with the grandchildren, I recorded, at least I though I did, events during the holidays. When I tried to playback the tape, nothing, same problem I had initially. Bottom line, the problem was not fixed. I took it back and they told me I had to pay for the repairs again. This information was told to me 3 weeks after when I had to drive to their location because they did not have the decency to call me back. more

Great Service 6/9/2002

I had to get my camcorder's handstrap repaired - ICR quoted me a reasonable price on the spot and had it done within a weeks time. I have now taken my 35mm camera there and look forward to the same great service. I've had a camera out for over a month for repairs at a chain camera store - never again. Pros: Reasonable, Fast service more
