An underground tour 11/20/2005

We recently stopped at Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown to take our boys on a tour underground. The tour guide was a bit silly but kept our children entertained. He gave his opinion on the formations and also filled us in with bits of history as well. The tour requires a bit of walking but it was not to much. I do think they need to lower their prices as I feel that it was kinda expensive for a family of 4 to go through the hour tour. Other then that it was very nice and interesting to see. more

Inner Space Caverns is about 20 minutes north of Austin. If you visit their website, they offer coupons for discounts on tickets. They have a really neat cave tour, and also have a mining station to pan for gemstones. It is a great experience for the whole family. Be sure to visit the candle factory across the highway too! more
