We booked this room solely for it's WiFi advertising-- my travelmate is working as we travel and needs internet access. This as our 10th hotel on our trip, and she is quite smart about how to use Wi-Fi (bluetooth in her computer, never needs anything, it just works). When we couldn't get the WiFi to work, staff gave her an ethernet cord, which also did not work. They put us in another room, and that didn't work. The techie never called us about it, staff took a long time to respond, and when they did they're response was "my manager says you're having trouble"... but it was the same guy we reported the trouble to. Duh! In the end, my roommate was very civil but expressed dissatisfaction and requested a solution. Staff called her an "idiot" and told us he could not call management re: a requested refund (he'd just talked to them). Also said we could not get a refund for the room. We left, but Holiday Inn efficiently refunded us the next day when we contacted headquarters. We
