Helm & Helm

First off I want to thank DR Joseph Peccerillo for delivering 3 out of 5 of my children. He was an awesome Dr. to me and I really wish he had been there for my last child due to the fact he knew me, my background and what I wanted for my future. Well Doc, I did not get the care you thought your fellow Doctors would give me. \r Now the hard cold truth:\r As a OBGYN, Dr. Dennehy was great. BUT- do not ask for a tubal ligation if you EVER want to have children again! I was told I would be able to reverse my tubal in 7 years if I wanted to try to have a family again. I agreed. After I gave birth to my daughter, This DR and Dr Fanning each took a side and stated "On your Mark, Get set... GO!!" Needless to say I CANNOT have a reversal! THEY STERILIZED ME! To this day I have Bowel problems, anger issues, weight problems and pain! My periods are all messed up and the most important, I can NEVER have another baby! The Helms delivered my 3 sons and showed compassion and professionalism. I don't think there will ever be doctors like the Helms anywhere. They are the best! more

I have used Dr Charles Helm for many, many years. My daughter also has used him for many years as well.\r I had surgery a few years back....I was in so much adominal pain afterwards I could not take it anymore. I called their office...Charles was not in...but told me I could come in to see Dr. Waradzyn. She is the rudest, roughest and most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. I would not use her again if my life depenened on it. She seemed to actually get pleasure out of hearing me scream in pain while she was examing me. And, yes I was screaming. Perhaps she should go into the wrestling or boxing profession and get out of this one.\r The Helm brothers are fabulous however - just fabulous!!\r The wait time is simply ridiculous!! more

My wife had her first child last year. All the Doc's were amazing. The whole pregancy support process was professional, pleasing and safe. We are expecting in August and are so happy that we have the Helm's team on our side. Wouldn't go any where else !!!! more

I find all the doctors at Helm & Helm are wonderful but I especially recommend Dr. Peccieriello. He's the best. I do however agree that the wait times are excruciatingly long. I have waited as long as 1-1/2 hours. more

i like Dr helm but find the support staff unacceptable most of the time to the point i consider leaving the practice often. many errors are made and lots of oversights. more

The wait time to see any doc in this practice is simply unacceptable (average wait time = 1 1/2 hours). They should turn away new patients instead of overbooking and making other patients wait up to 2 hours to be seen. On the plus side, the docs are personable and have good bedside manner. I've had this on my chest for 4 years now, and I don't think I could live with myself if I didn't get it out.\r \r My mother made me an appointment to see Dr. Waradzyn at Helm & Helm because one of the Helms is her OBGYN and he actually delivered myself and my sister. I was 16 and still a virgin when I went in. Dr. W was informed of my virginity as well as the fact that it was my first visit and, despite all that,she was extremely rough with me. She didn't do anything to ease my worries, or calm me down as I was crying and clawing at the bed in pain. She didn't introduce herself to me, give me a run-down of the procedure, inform me of anything, she just rushed through it, painfully probing and pawing me.\r \r When I was 17 I had my first boyfriend and we became intimate. I had what I thought was a yeast infection, so I called Helm & Helm and told them I needed to make an appointment and that it was urgent because I was in pain. I was told that they couldn't find space for me for two weeks. more

I started going to Helm and Helm a couple of years ago when I had moved into the Wallingford area. I just needed an appointment and they got me in with Dr. Dennehy. What a wonderful dr. He made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I met him. He is extremely personable and knowledgeable. I just had my first baby and Dr. Dennehy performed my csection. It was a great experience. I have met the other doctors and they all made me feel very comfortable. Yes, sometimes the wait is long, but it is worth it to me. more

My second daughter was one of the first babies to be delivered by Charles Helm and three after that. I am still with him 24 years later. He has delivered 5 of my grandchildren. I know my daughters wouldn't change for the world either. \r \r About explaining things and bedside manner world class. He has been there and is the best. more

When I went to the Helm's for the first time I was really nervouse because I had never been seen by a male doctor for any reason. I was quickly put to ease by the doctor who sat with me and gave me some of his backround both personal and professional. During the exam he spoke to me about the current reality shows and was as thurow as he was quick and I appreciated that. He spoke to me in understandable terms and has made it a point to get to know my personality and cater to my needs. I am not saying he is perfect (he's still human) but I am saying he has kept me in good health for over 15 years. I would highly reccomend the Helm's brothers. more

I saw this group during my second pregnancy. The doctors there were always very busy and over booked. I would sit in the waiting room sometimes for 3 hours waiting to be called in! Yes that is right, three hours. One secretary is very rude and dosen't want to hear a thing about whats wrong. I decided to have my tubes tied, and the dr didn't explain a thing to me just threw a form at me. I am only 23 and wanted to know some facts but that didn't happen. I was very ill throughout the pregnancy, they didn't refer me to a high risk doctor, they would just tell me it was normal. They were medically wrong (as another dr has told me). I don't recommend them because they have no bedside manner and the care is very less then satisfactory! PROS: Large Number of Doctors CONS: Uncaring, Long Waits & Rushed more
