Dr. Brown is simply the BEST. I've been going to Dr. Brown since I was a child for common colds etc. He is a very smart, nice, thorough and personable doctor. He has a superb educational background and training and I always feel that I am getting the best care possible when I see him. Health Stop is a priority for me, as I am happy to see a knowledgeable doctor, not wait hours and receive the best possible care. I can't thank Dr. Brown enough over the years (30+). more

Excellent doctor 8/24/2011

* Short wait (~10 minutes) * Dr. Brown is a great, genuinely nice guy. * He KNOWS HIS STUFF. I came in with a rash that was eventually diagnosed as a food allergy reaction, but he went through all of the different potential maladies (shingles, scabies, etc.) and discussed why the symptoms didn't fit. * He answers all of your questions, gives you time to talk, and doesn't make you feel rushed at all. Best doctor I've ever been to. more

"concerned" is wrong, never had that experience 8/25/2009

Health Stop is fantastic, as is Dr. Brown. I have never had a breast exam, nor has my 24 yr old son had a rectal and we have been there 20+ times over the last 5-6 years. Dr. Brown is for proper and appropriate, the best of doctors. more

Great Quality 6/22/2009

Very Bright Compassionate Doctor, knowledgeable and calm. Love the fact that he works on weekends. Never rushes anyone. I have had my family go and out of town guest that get sick are impressed. We need more docs like Dr. Brown. more

medical emergency 3/15/2009

why would any body go to a doctors office for a medical emergency? the subject should be transported by ambulance, with paramedics on board and perhaps an a.l.s. unit to the e.r. more

Good doctor available on demand 3/5/2009

Great doctor. Very practical. Does not practice unnecessary medicine and does just what is required. Good attitude and bedside manner too. He is available on demand and does not require appointments. Hence there is no crazy long queue to wait on, or unfriendly assistants to beg, when wanting medical attention in an emergency more

all men from 21 and up get rectal exams during physicals. woman get breast exams and rectals, even if they have seen there own obgyn within the last year. this is done w/o a chaperone even though two female nurses are on duty. straaaange, concerned. more

Just what the doctor ordered! 9/6/2008

I went to see Dr. Brown for the first time for an ear ache, on a Saturday, when nobody else could be found! He saw me incredibly quickly, and diagnosed it. This is what health care should be like! Great guy, great staff. Totally recommended. more

I've been going to Dr. Brown now for a little less then a year, and I have to say, no matter what the health problem Dr. Brown has always been there 110% He's a caring, careful, learned practitioner and I have never met a finer doctor.. more

I completely agree that Dr. Brown is one of the finest human beings you will have the pleasure of meeting. He is also a very astute and caring doctor. My family depends on Dr. Brown far more than our primary care doctors. He is extremely intuitive, knowlegeable, and most important of all, he genuinely cares. more

Dr. Brown is simply the finest doctor I have ever known. I went to him for all my medical needs. Since he is not beholden to any insurance plan or HMO, he has the freedom to practice medicine the way it used to be done, with a personal touch. He doesn't take appointments-- all his patients are served on a first-come, first-served, drop-in basis. He always takes the time to explain things thoroughly, and he is as fine a human being as you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. I highly recommend him to everyone! more

Incredible personal service - highest recommendations! 3/3/2007

I have been going to Dr. Brown for about ten years, and have been very impressed by him as a person and as a physician. This week I unexpectedly became allergic to antibiotics and became seriously ill - I developed a rash all over my body which was badly itching, burning and flaking, and my fever kept rising. I took a taxi to Health Stop rather than the emergency room. Dr Brown and his assistant saw me immediately, and he spent two full hours with me, quickly diagnosing the problem, and giving me an injection to stabilize me. He even PERSONALLY drove to a pharmacy to get me a medication I needed immediately and then made me a sandwich since I needed to take food with the medication. I have never experienced such personal care from a physician. He deserves TEN stars not FIVE. T.M. more

Great Place and Great Staff 9/18/2006

Health Stop is usually open on Saturday mornings. That augmented by nice staff, walk in appointments, bikepath-accessible location and unrushed consultations make a complete contrast with my usual MGH general pracitioner, If not your primary care physician, they are great for your backup or weekend care physician! more

Faultless care centre 9/6/2006

Our family has been using the care centre for five years - for everything from skin rashes, through physical check ups, to suspect broken limbs. Dr Brown and his staff are always helpful and thorough. He explains things easily and does not push one into unneccessary tests and treatment. We endorse all Sarah b.'s comments more

Excellent Urgent Care Center 8/18/2005

Dr Brown is the best. He has seen me after office hours. He is thorough, very nice, and always willing to spend an extra minute with you. He is easy to talk to, and doesn’t rush through the appt. His office staff is also friendly & caring. I have been going to this practice for over 10 years and the staff has pretty much stayed the same. That says something about the quality people! more
