This guy is truly a one-in-a-million...\r \r My gas dryer quit heating on a Saturday afternoon. I found Harvey's page here on CitySearch from Google. I called and told him my situation. I kid you not, he was here just about 10 minutes later!..which has got to be some kind of world record for getting a repairman out on a weekend. I was lucky however, as he was out in the area. But I gotta' tell ya'...it was truly unbelievable when he drove up just moments after speaking with him.\r \r It took him all of about 5 mins to determine it was a simple fuse that needed to be replaced. He popped a new one in and BAM!...and the dryer heated up. He charged a very reasonable fee, waved a pleasant goodbye, and he was gone, all fixed in about 30min or less. I kinda' felt like I'd been rescued from the train tracks by Superman, and now once safe, he flew off into the sky.\r \r Harvey's a kind gentleman, who's know a LOT about appliances, and who provides the kind of service that we all miss from the old days. He's *5-Stars* in my book.\r more

We had a refrigerator go on the fritz and quickly priced other refrigerators but decided to call Harvey's to see if we could salvage ours. We set up an appointment - he was early.\r \r He pulled the frig away from the wall and it took him about three minutes to get into the guts of the machine, came back out and gave me a part and said ""That's your problem."" Time to diagnose and repair - about 7 minutes.\r \r Then Harvey gave us a 10 minute tutorial on how to set the refrigerator for cooling and freezing - anything more was an expensive waste of electricity with no added benefit. Harvey's tutorial also included the best way to react to an area power outage to save the components of electrical equipment when the electricity surges back on. Even if everything is working, have him come over for the tutorial.\r \r By the way - the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be.\r \r Really, you gotta use this guy. more

The best washing machine and dryer repairman 4/25/2012

My Dryer stopped working on a sunday afternoon and I had a wet load of clothes in the washer. I couldnt fiqure out what was wrong so I went to my computer and looked up washingmachine and dryer repairman and Harvey's name popped up. I called him and he was over to my home with in 15 minutes on a SUNDAY afternoon. He was so sweet and told me what was wrong with it and we got it fixed in a jiffy. Not to mention no extra cost for coming on a sunday. Thank you Harvey ... You are one in a million more

Prompt, Professional, and Knowledgeable 11/21/2011

I had issues with my dishwasher, I called Harvey on a Friday afternoon, explained the problem. He showed up that weekend exactly on time, with the parts needed in his hand. He had the problem fixed within the hour and the dishwasher has never worked so good. The best appliance service I have ever experienced! more

great service, fair price 8/25/2011

I had a refrigerator that stopped working. Also its in-door water and ice dispenser stopped working a couple of years ago. I called Harvey on a Saturday afternoon and he offered to repair the refrigerator that evening or the following morning!! To compare--the other repair service that I called would have been 10 days. I definitely recommend Harvey. He did an excellent job, was on time, came out on a weekend, and was very nice--it?s refreshing to do business with the owner/operator. I will definitely call Harvey for other appliance repairs. more

refrigerator repair 8/5/2011

We've recently had our Whirlpool bottom freezer style refrigerator repaired by Harvey. I was very pleased with how he tracked down the problem, actually tested parts rather than just guessing. He has good technical support, which I think is necessary in this age of computerization. I also felt he dealt with us in a very honest and fair manor. I would definitely use his services again. more

Harvey's repair - the real deal 7/24/2011

I read the reviews and their regularity and was skeptical, wondering if there was a savvy internet marketer posting great reviews. Nope. Harvey is the real deal who has earned the stars and the posts. I signed up with city search JUST to post this review. Very nice guy. Determined to do a good job. Pricing was very reasonable (note, he is making a living on the parts markup, and not labor - so take this into consideration when you are comparing other services). So...I was Mr. skeptical, and boy was I wrong to be. I will now get him back out to the house to have a look at another appliance. more

Unbelievable service!!! 6/30/2011

The freezer portion of my refrigerator stopped freezing the food. When I first called, Harvey's pleasant voice message stated he was off on a short vacation and left referrals to call. Since I read all the wonderful reviews he had received, I decided to wait. The day Harvey returned he came to my home and immediately starting working on the problem. He spent a few hours at my home and returned again today with the parts. His service and friendliness were impectable. I was shocked when he handed me the bill for the parts and his service. He was extremely reasonable. I have already started telling my neighbors about him. Please call him if you ever need repairs. You will not be sorry!! more

Unbelievable Service and Value 6/13/2011

Harvey showed up the same day I called about my dryer. He fixed it in no time and the repair cost hallf of what Sears would have charged just to show up. He is now our go to appliance repair. I am so grateful to have found him. more

Harvey gets big points even when he doesn't have to come out 6/11/2011

We have had Harvey to the house twice so far. Once was to repair our dishwasher and once was to fix our refrigerator (and he already had the right part of our model in the truck!). In both cases he was prompt, responsive and delightful. His prices were equally appealing. Last week our dishwasher seemed to be in need of another visit (the previous visit was probably a year or so ago). Instead of just coming out, Harvey advised me by phone. I applied his step by step method for cleaning out the areas of the dishwasher that might be causing the problem... and it worked! He actually cost himself business helping me out. We run our family business the same way but rarely see this in others. I couldn't possibly recommend him more highly. more

Fast and Professional Service 5/8/2011

My disabled Uncle's refrigerator quit working, I called Harvey from Colorado on a SATURDAY afternoon. He was there in 30 minutes, the fridge was back online in 15 more minutes (burned starter capacitor thing) and the price was the BEST. This guy is the real thing. A small businessman that takes business seriously. more

Harvey Saved My Life!!! 4/19/2011

Harvey is amazing. Seriously. I called him in a panic about my refrigerator, which was broken and quickly defrosting. I had out of town guests arriving later that day. He told me he was booked until 9 pm, but after I explained the situation to him, he fit me in that very morning. (I apologize to any of his customers whose appointments may have gotten delayed, but Harvey literally saved my life.)\r \r He arrived on time, as promised, got right to work,and fixed the problem. His price was extremely fair, especially considering the last-minute call for rush service and the state of my refrigerator. \r \r Keep in mind that I called multiple other repair services that couldn't fit me in for 3 days(!!!), and I was practically hysterical. Harvey is extremely professional and a really nice guy, too! He's great to talk with.\r \r I will call him again in the future, and hopefully I will be able to give him more notice next time. Call Harvey! You'll be glad you did! Thank you, Harvey!!! more

A great repair man 4/14/2011

I want to recommend Harvey if you need a good honest repair guy.... 7.00pm tonight my laundry is flooded because my washer is spewing water everywhere, I have 6 loads of wash and 4 kids and a wet mess. I wanted to get a local Simi guy because I thought the chance of getting quick service was better..hoping to get an appointment the next day. I got Harvey's name from this site and chose him because of the glowing reviews. He picked up his call immediately, and basically told me he was booked solid for a few days. Hearing desperation in my voice he agreed to squeeze me in between his 7pm and 9pm appointment tonight. He is polite and honest and he fixed my machine...it is now 9.16pm and I write this review as my second load goes in... more

Fair and honest! 4/14/2011

After Sears was almost 2 hours late even with my ""1pm to 5pm window"", I had to wave off the service man because I needed to be somewhere else. That's when I decided to try a try a local guy and I found Harvey's on Google. The reviews I read here were very promising, and Harvey didn't disappoint. He's nice, knowledgable, and fixed our dryer for a very fair price. Thanks very much, and see you next time! more

Best Repairman in Town 4/13/2011

Harvey came and repaired my washing machine. He knew exactly what the problem was and went to work immediately. He was frriendly and very competent. I;m glad I found the perfect repairman. I'll definitely recommend him to my friends. more
