I saw the many ads in the paper about Harris Hearing aids so I thought I'd give them a try. I'd already been to another hearing aid seller and tried a BTE model that had a lot of features, but it had a low hissing that I couldn't handle. I also tried an in-the-ear-canal model that just wouldn't suit my needs at all.\r \r I explained what I was looking for in a hearing aid and the price I'd been given on the ones I'd tried with the features that they had.\r \r The salesman went into the other room to see if he could match the price and came back and said he could....similar to the car salesman ""check with the boss"" tactic. I also asked if I could have a free test ride like others offered. He said that they don't usually do that, but, went to the other room again and said he could give me 2 weeks instead of the 30 day offer others made.\r \r The aids I'd looked at had wireless programming, 6 channels, auto balancing between aids, BluTooth compatible in case I needed it in the future. The one he offered had to be programmed by plugging into a fixture, not adjusted while in my ears. I looked online for info about the features of Harris Hearing aids and there is NO INFO.\r \r The HA they offered and their price matching was not equal. An analogy would be like walking into a car dealer and saying I'd been looking at a Nissan Maxim and had a price on it, and the salesman saying he could match price, but offering a Sentra at that price.\r \r Lack of info and a feeling of being ""taken"" changed my mind and I've found numerous other apple to apple hearing aids on line, for which I can compare price and service. I'd suggest that potential buyers ask for a list of features and not just price. You can buy much better for a lot less. more

I'm not sure that get anything right, except for taking my money. Folks, I'm not trying to be mean, but it is in your best interest NOT to do do business with this company. I'm sorry I did. Everything is fine at first, but they are so disorganized. First you are told that you'll get a call from this person or that person who will take care of things. Then when that doesn't happen, they apologize and tell you that the person who was supposed to call isn't available. Then some heavy handed manager will get on the phone. If I've heard it once I've heard it a dozen times, "We're sorry for your problems, but due to our phenomenal growth we are experiencing some growing pains." I believe at this point that these people are not only being untruthful, but are also inept. Do business with them at your own peril. Along with the name Harris, they also do business under the name SPORTEAR. Their performance claims for their products are absolutely false. Pros: Promise alot Cons: Don't deliver what they promise more

  • Never Before Has the World of Hearing Possibility Been So Easy and Comfortable. Now Introducing the World's Smallest Open Ear Hearing Aid. With So Many Unique, Custom and Special Options.Video Otoscopy Inspection The LED (Light Emitting Diode) has an approximate life of up to 10,000 hours and uses less than 10 watts of energy. The light output of the LED produces no heat or light outside the visible range and therefore transmits no UV or infrared light. The LED light output is in a color range which can be easily white balanced by the MedRx video camera to render true color video otoscopy. The remarkably clear resolution is particularly helpful in contrasting a clean ear canal and normal eardrum with excessive cerumen, foreign bodies, external otitis, PE tube status, cholesteatoma, TM perforations and other abnormalities. The LED light source interfaces with the MedRx 3mm probe and miniature video camera which requires no focusing.Testing for Hearing SensitivityAccurate assessment of hearing (audiometry) is vital to the diagnostic evaluation of patients with suspected otologic disorders for the determination of the underlying process, as well as in the planning of rehabilitation of hearing loss. Originally, audiometry was limited to the psychophysical measurement of the sensation of hearing; thus, patient cooperation was essential. However, other tests have been developed over the years which permit more objective assessment of hearing even in infants, small children, malingerers, and hysterics.Adequate testing requires an audiometer (device for presenting sounds to the patient at precisely controlled intensity), a sound-proof environment, a competent audiologist, and a cooperative patient. The standard testing battery includes Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, and Immittance Audiometry.Precise Fitting ProcessGreat Custom Fit for Comfort & Great Hearing Technology Fined Tuned for Your Better Hearing and Lifestyle. * Video Otoscopy Inspection* Testing for Hearing Sensitivity * Precise Fitting ProcessHarris Hearing consistently voted for 8 years as #1 of Utah County's Best Hearing Aid Center by the Daily Herald
