I went to GC late 2010. All I wanted was a haircut. I have long hair and needed a trim. I don't have complicated hair. I get the same haircut everytime and only get long layers. I typically go to a salon, but was trying to save money for Christmas. I went in without an appointment and only had to wait a few minutes. The woman cutting my hair was friendly and seemed to do an okay job. I ended up putting my hair up in a ponytail right after leaving GC because it was super windy out. That night after showering, I realized that one side of my hair was about 1/2 inch to 1 inch longer than the other side. The next day after work I went back to GC to have them fix it. Luckily the same woman wasn't there and I ended up getting a different woman cutting my hair. She actually told me that the woman had messed up the back of my hair beyond repair (she could trim it a little but it would take her cutting off several inches of my hair to actually fix it). Since I had no desire to have all my hair chopped off, I told her to do what she could. She ended up fixing it pretty well and at least the sides of my hair was now even. Even though they didn't charge me for the second haircut, I felt like I should have gotten my money back from the first cut as well. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning to GC.
