Goll's is located in historic Havre De Grace, but that's about all it has going for it. The day my husband and I found ourselves in Goll's it wasn't a happy place. We were lured in by the promise of "Maryland Clam Chowder." When we entered the store, I immediately noticed a smell and it wasn't the sort you would think of being in a bakery. When we inquired about the chowder the woman looked at us blankly and then said "oh...that's in the freezer, it's tomato based if you like that." Turned off , we said thanks but no thanks and left.
While in the shop I noticed very little stock at all-- a few donuts and a couple loaves of bread. In Goll's defense, it was nearly closing time, but we were unimpressed and haven't returned.
