Glassman Rick, DDS

I consider myself lucky to be in Rick Glassman's care. I'm a high maintenance patient - aka I get a lot of dental work done. I've seen NY generalists and specialists and a handful of LA's top bids for dental professionals, but have never felt more confident than with the candor and expertise of Dr. Glassman. He's a true scientist, which is to say he's passionate about his craft, the innovations to the field of study and the communication skills needed to inform his patients. I like to know exactly what's being done for any given procedure and Dr. Glassman enthusiastically treats and teaches me what we're considering addressing. Despite an A-List Hollywood client list, I always feel important when I'm in his chair and knowing that I don't have the deep pockets of a movie star, I appreciate that his rates are very fair. more

I am not a celebrity, nor a person of renown; yet, I am treated as though I were at Dr. Rick Glassman's office. I was referred to Dr. Glassman by one of his patients almost 17 years ago. During that time, Dr. Glassman has done some excellent work on my teeth, giving me the best smile I have ever had. Not only is his work top-drawer, the time and effort he expends on even the smallest detail puts him in a class of his own. His staff is excellent and friendly, and his prices are reasonable, given that you are getting the best dental care available. Some years back another dentist had occasion to examine my dental work and pronounced Dr. Glassman ""a true artist."" I could not agree more, nor could I recommend him more highly. more

He is the best dentist I ever had in my life. I have seen him for over a year now. I had some treatment done at other dentists while ago and end up needing implants done. Because the other dentist's treatment was not complete. I asked around my friends about their dentists and my close friend recommended Dr. Glassman. It had been a long process since I had to wait to heal after each steps of the treatments. He did two dental implants, extraction of two teeth, and implant titanium posts then cover them with crowns. I never had been looking forward to going to the dentist before, but Dr. Glassman is an exception. Dr. Glassman really care about patient like a member of his family. He explained every detail and answer all my questions I had and he was making sure if I was comfortable with everything he was doing. And being in his chair is really comfortable. He gives all patient his cell phone number and email address just in case for the emergency situation. He always tells me great stories. He works with many famous actors. He is a passionate artist and an amazing doctor. I highly recommend him. And his assistant Kathleen is the best. She is one of the key factors that the visit to Dr. Glassman is so comfortable everytime. more

Dr Glassman was only going to do a ""simple"" cosmetic procedure. What he ended up doing was ruining my mouth. He reshaped and shortened my teeth, added three tons of bonding on my perfectly beautiful real teeth and now I can't bite down using any of my front 6 teeth. My mouth has been in pain for way too long, my upper lip is grossly prodruding. This man is a detriment to the dental profession and should have his licence to practice revoked. Do yourself a favor: RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM Dr Glassamn. Save yourself and go anywhere else! It will take me YEARS to find someone who will fix my teeth and I might even need orthodontia. more

Let me just start by saying I hate bad mouthing ANYONE as i am big on karma, but what this guy has put me through is absurd. I went in for a cleaning and consultation into maybe getting a veneer or two. I received the cleaning, paid for that, and then as i was in the chair he says he has to do an emergency procedure for a filling because my tooth was so bad and he might have saved my tooth by doing it that day. Anyways, then he mocks up a veneer (not even the tooth i wanted) and sends it off to a lab, and 3,000 dollar check later im like, ""what just happened?"" basically, i got HUSTLED. Anyways, i realized i couldnt afford the veneer at the time and told him i wanted to cancel it, and let alone the botch filling he did almost RUINED my tooth and was in so much pain i had to go see a different dentist who fixed it and said whatever he did was an awful temporary job of a filling. Now, couple months later i get a letter in the mail from collections for 3300. WHEN I NEVER RECEIVED THE VENEER. ughhh if i can turn one person away from going to this guy then I've done my job. Just sucks it had to be like this, and now it may get ugly. but all i know is i am not going to pay for something i didnt receive. more

My appointments also kept getting cancelled. Then I had to be on-call and they would tell me when to drive across town to be there. This was follow-up work that had to be taken care of. Maybe his Hollywood clients get paid attention to. I have never been so neglected by a dentist or doctor. more

Dr. Glassman is the most wonderful, passionate, talented dentist in the world...I would never go to anyone else. I have been going to him for 15 years and have heard him refereed too as a genius , by a very famous actor I worked with recently... a 10 + more

I have been going to Dr. Glassman for 20 years. All my friends and family also go to him, and not one of us can imaginne going to someone else. His work is the best, he makes sure you are never in pain, his office calls to see how you are feeling after your appointment. I have very bad family dental genetics, but dr. Glassman has taken such good care of my teeth that I have avoided so many of my family dental problems. He is kind, compassionate and a really fun visit each time. I never dread going to the dentist since I have been going to him. The reason his office was cancelling those apointments the previous reviewer was talking about was because Dr. Glassman had emergency major back surgery. They cancelled all his appointments and rescheduled. He came backkto work and he was having back pain again so they cancelled those appointments. He has since completely recovered. You can not find a better dentist or a nicer. more caring staff. more

I have never had a worse experience trying to make an appointment. I scheduled 3 different times two months out to get Dr. Glassman and each time I was cancelled on at the last minute with a reschedule option another 2 months out. I would never bother working with this office, or you may as well give up. The final time I called to complain to the supervisor, they admitted that many others had called to complain about this same problem. Find someone else! more
