Romantic, warm, inviting 10/7/2005

Girardi's is fantastic. The food is insightful, the decor and overall ambience of the place is great. Friendly waitstaff, although during one dining experience, they were a bit ""over the top"". The prices are decent - ranging from $10 to $25, and the fresh rustic bread with aioli is a nice touch. Give this place a try if you'd like to impress a date, or are looking for a cozy spot to eat on a winter evening. Also, don't skimp on dessert; gelato is comparable to what I had in France. I would reccomend going early if you'd like to avoid a crowd; the resturant is small and seating is somewhat limited. Pros: Decor, Value, FOOD!!! Cons: Parking (limited) more

Mixed Feelings 7/9/2005

Simply wanted beef tonite and welcomed a friends suggestion we meet at Girardi's. We were seated promptly and offered wine or a toddy while we perused the menu. torn between the staccato or the fileto, I let my server choose. My friend ordered the lamb chops. Split an appetizer (huge) and let the server choose two reds for tasting. We liked the Concannon cab. Wine prices are not bad at Girardi's. Entrees arrived and friend's lamb was great. My fileto which had been ordered medium rare arrived well done. Server took it away immediately and a filet medium arrived later nicely done, but after my friend had finished eating. Il Mio Ristorante Favorito!!! 2/20/2003

Referred by a friend and loved every single moment of the experience. The food is excellent! I especially like the ambient setting and the service. I would list favorites but am a return customer and have tried almost everything. Try this place.. you'll not regret it! I say it's good for kids... if they are well behaved. Our favorite restaurant 12/17/2002

My husband and I went to Girardi's for the first time not long before our wedding, and it quickly became our favorite restaurant. The food is wonderful, inventive without falling into the trap of becoming snobby New Seattle cuisine. The wait staff are all very friendly, and give Girardi's a neighborhood hangout feel. The bartender makes incredible drinks and is very knowledgable about the wine. My favorite is the pollo pistachio, but everything is delicious. more
