run the other direction from this place,im a manager at an apt complex and the owner of the building insists on using georgia carpet for the apts.i always have to deal with bob who is always quick talking to get me off the phone with him.it always takes them forever to get the carpet down after they have measured,bob says that the carpet we buy is good carpet but i know its not.good luck with this family owned store,there is no good customer service here. more

The first time I used Georgia Carpets was for a whole house carpet installation that was glitch-free. I returned several years later to buy a rug. This purchase became the worst retail shopping experience I have EVER encountered in my 56 years! It is because Bob, one of the current brother-owners, errrored, lied, was nasty and unprofessional. The story is long, but suffice it to say I am a careful shopper who always checks websites like these before using a service. I have steered all of my friends away from Georgia Carpets since. Dealing with them is just too risky. I hate to write poorly about anyone in this economy, but I simply cannot think of any store that deserves a negative rating more than Georgia Carpets!\r ! more

We have used Georgia Carpets several times over the past 20 years - for three different homes. I first did business with Irv - I believe the original owner - father of the current owner. We most recently made a purchase in December, 2010. We have always been treated well, gotten excellent service and very competitive pricing. \r One time - about 18 years ago - there was a problem. The color of a product did not work in my home. I truly should have caught the issue, but the small sample did not look as bad as the whole room completed. Georgia Carpets re-did the job for us because we were good customers. I have never forgotten that; THAT is good customer service. \r I have sent many people to them and all have been pleased. The negative reviews really surprised me - especially speaking about the employees - Bob has helped us many times through the years and has always treated us with the utmost respect. Georgia Carpets has always been my first stop for carpet needs. more

I'm shocked by some of the negative reviews. I owned a local business which required a substantial amount of carpetting for over 20 years and always used Georgia Carpets. I also use them for my personal needs. I have dealt with Bob over these many years, and he has always been polite and professional with me. I have also referred friends and family to Georgia Carpets, and they all have had postive experiences. Pros: great prices, service and people more

It's a good thing that the salesmen are ""the owners"". It's hard to imagine that anyone would put up with them as employees! We found them to be arrogant, fast-talking and not exactly honest. We ordered carpet for several rooms - On each install the schedulers gave us faulty information about what to expect. The installers were very late and the installation took significantly longer than we were told. We took the salesman's recommendation on the type of carpet to buy and it turned out to be an inappropriate type for our needs. Their prices might look pretty good, but consider the real cost of buying here - not just the carpet, pad and installation, but having to put up with these guys and how they conduct business. We had an amazingly fabulous experience with Georgia Carpets. We comparison shopped and no other business came close to their great price. The installation thereafter was prompt and thorough. I will definitely use them again in the very near future. Thanks Guys! more

I decided to get a quote from Georgia carpet because my entire family had used them for carpet many years ago. Their quote was very high, there sales agents never called back, but I gave them a chance and called numerous times to see if they were willing to work out a deal. When I finally got a hold of my sales agent Bob, he was unwilling, which was fine. I told Bob that I was not interested. At this point he became irate, he began to scream foul language at me. I have never been on a phone call when a ""professional"" dropped the ""F-bomb"". It was absolutly appauling! It was completely unprofessional, rude and slightly frightening. I do NOT suggest Georgia carpets for anyone. more

Same family owns and operates this business. Has been in Westmont forever...30+ years. These guys know carpet -- taught me what to know about carpet and pad so I could make my own decision. No pressure at all. Lots of neighbors and friends told me to go there. Wow. They have the lowest prices. The sample selection in the store is HUGE. They get one of the top ratings in Consumer Checkbook! Also, their installers are THE BEST!!! more
