Garbo's Hair Salon

That's the last time I'll ever go to a salon based on internet reviews. It makes me wonder if the WONDERFUL reviews are written by actual customers or Garbo staff/owner as free advertising. The color my stylist did for me was mediocre at best. The cut is nothing to write home about either. Garbo's need to stop charging exorbitant prices for jobs NOT so well done!!! As the old saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Garbos' won't get a chance to fool this gal twice...no sir! more

I had been seeing my hairdresser for years when she moved over to Garbos. She always did a good job. Then I went to make my appointment with her and she had just up and quit leaving all of her clients high and dry. Luckily I found someone else to do my hair but after $150 later, I didn't feel as if I got the cut and color I explained I wanted. I think the staff is friendly, but I would like to be heard by the person cutting, coloring and styling my hair. more

After reading the positive reviews about Garbo's salon, I decided to try it for myself. The staff were friendly, however the service I received was sub-standard at best. My hair falls to the middle of my back so of course I have to pay extra; which is standard for any salon I go to. I don't mind paying as long as I get good service. My stylist, Steve, left some of my hair damp(closer to wet really) and pretty much just styled the 'outside' leaving the hair closest to my scalp undone; mind you color+styling for me came up to close to $150. I am not one to fuss; all I do is observe and if I don't like it, I won't be back, simple as that. If this is what Garbo's consider top-notch service I'd take my chances at a generic salon, thank you very much. more

The staff at Garbo's is top notch! Everyone is friendly and down-to-earth. You're always greeted with a warm smile. The stylists are knowledgeable and experts with color.You get much more than what you pay for! more

I've been to as many as ten salons in Montgomery and for my money, Garbos is by far the best. They have some truly gifted colorists whose work is comparable to salons in much bigger cities. The work is not especially cheap but the quality is undeniable. Moreover, the atmosphere lacks the rudeness and arrogance often seen in other "upscale" Montgomery salons. On the down side, no other services are offered, but if you want great color, you can't go wrong with Steve or Shannon at Garbos. more

This is a great salon, not too big and not too small. All of the hair dressers are experts and have great experience with all types and styles of hair. They are perfect for men and women of all races. You can call and schedule an appointment with one or their hair stylists or you can just walk right in. Go visit them today. You'll be very glad you did. more
