I have been driving out to Michigan these past two years to pick peaches off the trees in the orchards at Frank Farms. It is a wonderful experience to share with friends. A hand picked 1/2 bushel costs $12 and you can get around 60-80 peaches in that bushel. I recommend you going in late August when the peaches are the ripes and sweetest. These peaches are the size of grapefruits or softballs. Be sure to vary the ripeness of the peaches or else you will have a hard time finsihing them before they over ripen. It is worth the drive out to Michigan. Besides on your way back you can stop at the Lighthouse and do some outlet mall shopping.
