Removed a tree for Thornton Burgess Society 2/28/2011

Recently a 21" diameter branch broke off a massive white pine at the East Sandwich Game Farm. The remaining part of the 60' tree was leaning over the bathroom building used for school and TWBS field trips. Game Farm volunteers contacted the Forest Keepers Tree Care Company who agreed to take the threatening tree down before a forecast storm. A crew of three from Forest Keepers removed the tree, carefully cutting and lowering each section to the ground with no damage to the bathroom. They did an excellent job and they did this without charge. We admire their professional skills and we thank them for their community-minded generosity. more

100yr Old Maples are Now Happy and Healthy! 1/17/2011

We had Forest Keepers come and examine several 100+ year old maples in the front of our farmhouse. We just had a storm and a neighbor's identical maple had broken and smashed into the road. We wanted to make sure this didn't happen to us. The Forest Keepers crew worked in cold temperatures, nimbly climbing these tall trees and pruning and shaping the branches. We were very impressed. And they were kind, on top of all that... Thank you, Forest Keepers! more

Chris and his crew were professional and did a great job cutting down a number of trees on my property as well as removing the debris. They showed up when they said they would and did the job efficiently. I would highly recommend them for any tree removal work that you may have. more

Forest Keepers- Worth What Paid For and More 1/14/2011

We had 12 trees plus shrubs and about 15 overgrown bushes that needed to be removed. We had 5 companies come out to bid- only two came back. Forest Keepers was slightly more expensive than the other bidder, but below my expectations. I picked them based on some recommendations I had received. \r \r The team showed up at 8 am and by 4:00 they were done. We were amazed. They worked as a team- not a moment was wasted. The 6 guys plus Chris were polite, and neat. The stumps were ground, the debris and wood removed and the yard was cleaned up.\r \r The neighbors were impressed with how well they did and how fast they worked. In fact, they were back the next week doing work next door. I would recommend Forest Keepers highly. They are worth every penny... and they earn it too! more

Qualified, considerate and environmentally concerned 1/13/2011

Unique combination of experience, customer service, consideration and environmental sensitivity. They are knowledgeable, industrious and well-equipped. Forest Keepers has assisted us multiple times, including responding to emergencies (thanks for removing the tree that dropped into the middle of what was to be our daughter's wedding reception...). We have enjoyed working with the group and look forward to continuing to do so. more

Saving the Rest Rooms at the Sandwich Game Farm 1/13/2011

The T.W.Burgess Society administers the land of the former East Sandwich Game Farm as a nature study area and conservation education site . The restroom building was threatened by a massive white pine,damaged in a storm and leaning over the building. The volunteers contacted the Forest Keepers requesting that they remove the tree before the forecast Nor'easter on 1/12 so there would still be facilities when school groups visit the Game Farm. They cut and lowered each piece of the tree by rope starting from over 40' above the ground with no damage to the building We were all impressed with their professional skills and are grateful for their community-minded generosity. They did the work pro bono, sharing the Burgess Society concern for children and the environment. Thanks, Forest Keepers. more
