Some of the best Chinese in town 6/25/2006

Five Happiness is located in a part of New Orleans that was pretty badly flooded, so we are even happier to have them back. The main restaurant is still closed for renovations, but their previous party/catering hall, located right next door and known as Imperial Room has reopened. Just like before they have an extensive and imaginative menu, friendly and professional service and very reasonable prices. AT the moment they are closed on Sundays, but hopefully that will change in the future. more

The only good thing about this place is the service. We did not like our food but the waiter gave us a discount on it and i guess that made it a little better. I do not know if it is either the MSG or the chef but the food there does not agree with my stomach. I love asian food but this one totally made me find a different opinion of it. There CAN be bad asian food and this place tops the list! If you want good food, avoid this place at all costs! more

Located minutes from almost anywhere in the city, Five Happiness is a great treat for lunch, dinner, or take out. The lunch menu has a lot of options at great prices. The restaurant has a really wonderful atmosphere with great décor and hard working staff. Call in for take out and your large portion will be prepared and packaged very carefully in a matter of minutes. The food is very good! more
