Field of Scenes

This is a great place to go to get away from the ordinary.They play 2 movies for the price of one at a regular theatre. The first movie is a pg movie(mainly for the kids) the second is a pg-13. I have gone a lot last summer and it was a lot of fun. they have a horse drawn carriage to keep people occupied, plus basketball hoops and a playground for the kids to use up their energy. They also have an indoor facility for bathrooms and food etc. I believe the location is in freedom. Something everyone in the area should attend! more

I saw there had been some recent posts about being nostalgic and visiting car-hop restaurants and drive-in theaters. So to continue a little of that trend. . .my review of a local drive-in theater. The family and I went to see Cars tonight at a drive-in called Field of Scenes (quite the catchy name) http://www.fieldofscenes.biz/ which was a surprise to my 5yr old, "What do you mean I have to sit outside to see the movie?" It was loads of fun for most, my 1yr old got antsy half-way through because he was tired, but couldn't sleep with so much going on around him. We arrive at the "theater" at 7:15, there was a playground, volleyball & basketball courts, and horse-drawn wagon rides to keep us occupied until dusk, when the movie was to start. It was great family fun and we're looking forward to doing it again - this time with a sitter for the younger son!! more

Field of Scenes is the only outdoor movie theater in the area. They are located just north of Kaukauna, in the town of Freedom. It is a country setting, and offers a family a great way to spend an evening doing something fun, exciting, and inexpensive. They have a playground for the children while waiting for the movie to start. And kids will really love the pony rides they offer. They show all the latest movies, just like the indoor theaters. They have a building where they sell food and drinks and have restrooms. It is a great way for a whole family to spend an evening! more
