Fantasia Bridal

From the very beginning, this has been the worst part of planning my wedding. I will never recommend Fantasia Bridal in Wilmington, DE. EVER! Mietra and Mary clearly don't communicate. All previous ""Doesn't Recommend"" reviews are right on point. They are rude, they are short with responses. They have lied and have changed the date of delivery 3 times. They lied about the deposit requirement. They tried to get all of my girls to get huge sizes compared to what they really are. I hope they don't think I'm letting my girls do the alterations. I probably won't even let them try on the dresses there at the shop b/c once they are in, we get them and we leave. Their communication is HORRIBLE and that whole camera thing, I came back at Mary (the older one) and told her I am not a child and if my girls are spending money here then I am taking a picture of the dress for reference. I will be reporting them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). more

I've worked with them on 2 occasions (Once for my wedding, once for a friends) If you can get past the horrible customer service they have a good variety of dresses at reasonable prices. But don't let other reviews fool you, these people are NOT nice, they are NOT helpful and they will NOT allow anyone to get in any other opinion. I had to cut off the sales girls multiple times during both the appointments I've been to just so the bride could get a word in edgewise. Finally they push the veil on you to no end, to the point of just rude and obnoxious. Don't get your veil at this salon, They are overpriced and you get the same thing online or in other stores for 1/3 of the price (I did) So again, if you are willing to deal with a lot of bad customer service you can get a good dress at a good price. more

Went to the store with my friend who is the bride. The selection is mediocre and the lady didn't want us opening the bags. I found it odd that all the tags were cut out and some numbers were made up as model numbers. When I wanted to look up a model number on my phone, the lady yelled at me and told me to put my phone away like I was a child, claiming she knows that the camera is on the back. By then we just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. She made us narrow down to two choices because she wouldn't write down any more and still wouldn't tell us the designers saying that some dresses just didn't have designers. We wouldn't come back anyway. The next store we went to, their sales woman asked us how the shopping experience has been so far and when we started describing what happened, she immediately asked if it was at Fantasia. She then told us that they don't let you use their restroom and send all their customers across a 4 lane highway to an Arby's. When a pregnant woman used their restroom they gave her grief. She's pregnant! Very unprofessional, rude and just plain awkward. more

This bridal store was the worst in the area. The lady was very RUDE and was more worried about the value of her dress than the value of selling to the bride and her father. She informed me that those dress are expensive and she needed to help me into them. I'm old enough to know the value of money if I'm getting married! I think the store needs to accept the bride wants to get into the dress and be able to have HER own time to look at her self before the curtain gets pulled back for everyone to look. There also was not enough room in the store to look at the entire train and the dress. The fitting rooms were dirty and gross. Would recommend Simon's or Claire's in the area. Any good bride would know you want to see the entire Train and back of your dress and not be pushed and treated rude to. more

I had a wedding overseas in Saudi Arabia. My wedding date changed after the dress was shipped, and despite the short notice, Fantasia was able to intercept and expedite delivery of the package. I was so happy that the dress made it for my wedding! I recommend Fantasia to everyone. more

I had an excellent experience at Fantasia?s. I went to so many locations to search for my dress this store was the best by far. There were a variety of sizes to try on and the fashion consultant was professional yet warm. She answered all my questions, was very patient with my decision process, and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend her to any bride. more

Fantasia was amazing! I can?t recommend it enough. The employees are so friendly and have a lot of experience. I seriously felt like a princess with all the individual attention. And if they don't have the gown you want in stock, they can order it and customize it however you want. It?s great. more

Georgeous, quality gowns!! I got a ton of attention from the sales people and great fitting! They were super knowledgeable and attentive. Gowns came in just days after I ordered. You must pay almost all upfront on a credit card or cash, non-refundable, cash only at delivery, and then pay for the alterations, but they are very, very professional! I bought 2 gowns from them at well over $ 1,200. before alterations, but I am super pleased at the quality by comparison to other places! The only reason I did not give a 5 is the priceyness. Pros: Tons of help from sales people!! Cons: Very, very price plus expensive alterations more

Although they have a good selection, there are many ""rules"" you must obey. The saleslady told me not once, but three times to ""not unzip the garment bag."" She continued to tell me until finally I told her, ""Look, I'm not going to unzip the garment bag!"" You are not allowed to take pictures, use the bathroom, or take longer than 30 minutes in the dressing room. Oh, and there is a 3-5 dress limit per visit. Come with thick skin and use this place for ideas. But order it from somewhere else. more

I am in a wedding in Oct and was measured for my bridesmaid dress in Feb. I got the dress in May and it did not fit, not even a little bit. I went back she measured me again and said I had gained 41/2 inches pretty much everywhere. The way she re-measured me is not the way she originally measured me. I did not gain any weight. There is absolutley NO WAY I gained inches. She wanted me to pay to get extra fabric to pretty much remake the dress or buy a whole new dress and would not take back the other dress. I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! They did not even try to rectify the situation. They just want me to pay more money and was telling me its my fault and that they don't tell you what size to buy they tell you your measurements and you decide. I would NEVER suggest getting your bridal gown from Fantastia on Rt. 202. Though they do have a nice product for reasonable prices - they try to screw you in order to get more money out of you. My sister was very specific as to how she wanted her wedding dress to fit and she paid extra to have it altered that way. When the dress came in it didn't fit - Fantastia told her that she had gained 2 inches in size since being measured 4 months ago - though my sister has not bought any new clothes and has not gained any weight. (2 inches is A LOT of weight to gain - if she had her current clothes wouldn't fit!!!) Fantastia told her that it was her fault and that she would have to buy a new wedding dress. Before she did that - she took the dress somewhere else to see if another seamstress could fix it to fit her - she did and the dress was altered perfectly in 20 mins!! I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST GOING TO FANTASTIA - wouldn't even send my worse enemy there. Plus the sales girls are MEAN and RUDE!
