Our experience with Dr pizzaketti has been terrific. He is caring, compasionate and willing to help you. But most of all he has improved our quality of life. However, beware if there is a billing problem. It is like pulling teeth trying to get it corrected. What ever the problem is, the assistance is woefully lacking. This place only enhanced my fear of physicians. The first time I saw Dr. Schlager is was due to extreme insomnia (it's normal for me to only sleep 3-4 hours a night) but hadn't slept for 3 days straight. His response was "Benjamin Franklin only slept 4 hours and look what he accomplished" totally disregarding the fact that I hadn't slept in 3 days and he sent me on my way. I ended up just taking Tylenol PM and crashing for a day. Second time, I had gotten the flu and went to see Dr. Schlager. He gave me a shot, and I ended up passing out in the lobby when I went to pay my co-pay. They helped me to a room where I slept. To this day, I don't remember how I got home. My husband just told me that my car was parked in the middle of the street and the contents of my purse were sprinkled from the front door up to my bedroom. I can't believe they let me drive home in that condition. I only go when I absolutely have to. The nurses are rude (except when I'm rude for some weird reason) and I just wish I could find a doctor in York that I can trust!!! Pros: Never have a problem getting you in -- LOL, wonder why??? I went to Dr Rothermel because I was suffering from Stomach Pains and Hemorrhoids. On the first visit he did an exam and told me to take Prilosec over the counter, write down what I was eating and come back in two days. I'd already been taking Zantac so I continued to take it (why go out and buy just another brand of the same thing?), I wrote down what I ate and when I returned he didn't even remember why I was back. He didn't ask about what I ate and told me the nurse would set me up with referrals for a barium test and an internal medicine. Twice I had to pay a $25 co-pay for advice my mother would have given me. My suggestion....is go to an MD.....and ask how you can avoid having your money and time wasted. Family Health Associates, (www_fhayork_com) is an excellent Family Medical Practice with 5 York locations. Doctors Robert Pizziketti MD, Robert Rothermel DO, Scott Wolfe MD, Thomas Hargest MD PhD and Tracy Prince DO are caring, compassionate doctors that are current with the latest medical technologies, diagnostics and treatments available. All are Board Certified. The supporting medical staff is also top notch. The neat bonus for me is that each location has a staffed and stocked Pharmacy attended to by a licensed, registered Pharmacist! NO MORE trips to CVS, Rite Aid, Wal*Mart, etc. and waiting 45 minutes to an hour to have your Rx filled! Your medical and prescription coverage plans are electronically filed on your behalf, saving you paperwork! Highly recommended. more
