I can honestly say that when I walk into the Scoop I feel like I'm 10 years old again. The people at this Fairfax ice creamery know how to make you feel good about giving in to your indulgences. First of all, all their ingredients come from local, sustainable farmers so you feel good about supporting the local economy and environment. Secondly, all the ingredients are organic so you feel good about what you're eating. Most of all, this is the quite possibly the best ice cream in the country. (If not, it's certainly the best ice cream in California.) The ever changing menu also keeps you coming back to see what tasty concoction the Scoop people have whipped up today.
When you walk into the Scoop, you really feel a sense of community. The tiny, charming environment make you get cozy with your follow neighbors. There are photos all over the walls of local families (mostly children) licking giant ice cream cones.
