I went to the Eyeglass Factory and Showrrom because I thought they accepted my insurance. After a not being greated by the lady working the desk she asked for my ID and insurnace card. It took over 30 minutes for her to find a phone number to call my insurance to verify, after she told me my insurance company didn't exist. After I called my husband to get the phone number she then claimed to have found the number and proceeded to tell me I was covered. Because after all... "they didnt want to do an exam I would have to pay for." I went through the exam, Dr. Scamard was not personable, but Ok, the job got done.
In the end... I had to pay for my "astigmatism contact lens fitting" which ended up being over a $100. I thought they didn't want to have to charge me? I couldve went to Wal-Mart and not used my insurance and got a cheeper eye exam. After I paid there was no "thank you, have a great day, thanks for seeing us," or ANY eye contact. I will NEVER go back because I can get a better rate after I was "covered" and better customer service from Wal-Mart. Not to mention the office was cluttered and dusty. out of the 4 people who were working there sitting around talking I think one could be doing some organizing and dusting.
