Best Night Spot In Pasadena 7/25/2008

First off their happy hour is amazing. Great food at a dirt cheap price. But friday nights and Saturday nights are phenomenal. They have a live dj that doesn't only mix music, he is mixing the actual music videos so if your not much into dancing, sit back and enjoy the cool music videos. They play everything from hip hop to rock to pop to 80's. The best dj is the young guy and is real nice too, his name i think is Dario if i recall correctly. There are a couple of other guys but Dario is definitely the reason i go back almost every friday. to top it of NO COVER ALLLL NIGHT!!! This place is absolutely the hottest spot in Pasadena. And i will continue to go back.. Pros: Great Music, Great Food Cons: No music on thursdays more

Wow, Citysearch actually works! 9/14/2007

I found this place thanks to Citysearch's description, took a chance, and ended up becoming a regular. Grant, Eric and Angela comprise the core of one of the friendliest waitstaffs I've encountered. The drinks are not skimpy on quality content (i.e., if you want strong, they'll give you strong), but, even more importantly, the FOOD is AMAZING. I ordered the New York Steak dinner with two sides for $25, which is not something I do easily (being on a tight budget and all), but DAMN, it was the best steak I've ever had. I usually allow myself to break down once a month and order another new York Steak dinner and every time it just absolutely rocks my world. My compliments to the chef! Pros: awesome food, knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff, nice ambience. Cons: can get kinda loud on a busy weekend evening. more

Monday night dining 7/24/2006

Went on a Monday night and it was virtually empty. Angela was our server...very accomodating and hospitable. She was informative on the menu, the wine and let us know what nights they have live entertainment (Wed-Sat). I had the Chicken Bosco...and it was delicious. The chicken was very moist, the mashed potatoes were creamy and the string beans were crisp. It was a very good meal and I would recommend it for Monday night dining. more

Great Trendy Wine Bar 8/27/2005

I love the ambience in E's. It's very quaint and comfortable. The service is really good and the food to match. The wine list is great so even coming here for just a drink is fun. more

the food was good. but the lighting was too dim that instead of it being romantic, it just became a mood killer. i moved the candle closer to my plate just to be able to see what i was eating. and it was a bit odd that we had to leave the actual restaurant to use the bathroom of the larger office building that it was connected to. generally, the food was good...but something about the place that didnt really catch my interest enough to really want to go back there again. but if you decide to try it, it definitely wont be a loss or regret. more

A Great Place 4/12/2005

We where greeted with a smile by the hostess and then soon after by our server. He recommended a Romainian Sauvignon Blanc. I was plesently surprised, my wife however decided on a Martini, which she then followed by two more, thank you very much. Our server then guided us through the menu, I settled on the Pork chop, it was done perfectly not dry like Pork so often is at other places. My wife had the Rack of Lamb, she couldn't stop talking about the Red wine drizzle. Surprisingly the manager was more then willing to tell us how the Chief made it ad what went into it. The staff was helpful and attentive, but not some much where it seems that they never leave you alone. It's agreta up scale place with out all the rules of adress code, you feel very comfortable. Thanks alot Pros: Martinis, Great Staff, Atmosphere Cons: No Valet more

This place needs to go away! 3/8/2005

The bad Feng Shui or whatever makes you feel really disjointed. The decor: cafeteria tables, stupid-looking rock wall sconces, and just in case you forget where you are, an gigantic blue, neon ""E's"" on the main wall. The guitarist played so loudly and horribly, I wanted to beat him/her (I seriously couldn't tell if it was a male or female). I ordered some goat cheese bruschetta and it was underwhelming to say the least. I also had a flight of wines which tasted like detergent. The service: I had to ask 3 times to get water and bread. When the food came after an hour or so, the server was silent while holding the plates, waiting for us to move our bread. This lasted about 10 seconds. She had bad hair and the girl I was there with is really hot, so I guess I understand the attitude. Pros: you can leave, or never go at all Cons: service sucks, food is forgettable, uncomfortable vibe more

Great atmosphere, great wine, good food 7/17/2004

Went to E's on a Saturday night at 8 and was surprised to find there were actually several empty tables. Wine list was great - good selection and very reasonable prices. Started with E-tini's - awesome girly drinks! Food was good and there was a jazz trio playing right in the dining room. Overall a very nice dining experience. Pros: Wine!, Atmosphere more

The Food Was Tantalizing... 5/27/2004

The food was absolutely amazing, especially the filet broschetta. As an entree, I had the NY Steak in peppercorn cream sauce, another delight as well. Their extensice menu of wine and specialty drinks complimented the food. The only bad thing, the service was unacceptable. We found ourselves trying to get their attention numerous times for refills, ammenities and so forth. Pros: Quiant, Comfortable more

Great Food 8/4/2003

The restaraunt offered a wide variety of food and between the four of us we tried everything. The food was amazing and the service was spectaculiar. You walk in to a great atmosphere, where you are greeted, seated and served. We weren't rushed and felt like valued patrons. I would recomend this as a great date place, or a great place to hang out with friends!! more
