Nice Place to play 18 holes 12/5/2005

Ellinwood is an average public course in a nice setting and the greens fees are reasonable. The back nine is a little more challenging than the front nine. The course had it's share of dead patches in the middle of the summer, plus a few spots that tend to hold water and just be muddy. For the price you pay I believe you get value. If you're used to playing Shaker Hills or Red Tail then you'll be disappointed, but if your used to less fancy public courses then this is a good place to check out. more

Great golf course and decent function hall 10/11/2005

The golf course is the only one in the small town, and there are only a handful to play on nearby. The course is nicely maintained, the greens are kept up to par. Parking and tee times are never a problem. the functional hall doesn't have any frills and hasn't been updated in a while. The hall has a lot of space for a party, the kitchen can be used by the host or a catering company. They don't have their own catering, so an outside company must be hired. The bar is in an adjacent room and is used by parties as well as the 19th hole, so plan on sharing! more
