What a disapointment 4/24/2011

We have heard how great the atmosphere is at this place. When we were there there was no one in the place (Saturday 6 pm). We know why now. It was absolutely the worst food we have had in a long long time. The coconut shrimp was burnt, the fajuta nachos were cold and made with dried up old beans, the fajitas came with no rice or beans. This place is a joke. I guess if you want to go get drunk, it is the place to go. Just eat somewhere else before you here to drink. more

Biker Bar 4/12/2011

Make no mistake. This is a biker bar. Which is great if that is what you are looking for. However, I was originally sold on wanting to visit Duke's by an online daily deal site when they described that it's ""expansive, umbrella-covered patio offers sun-kissed (or shaded) solace .""\r \r Imagine the surprise when my husband and I and our three toddlers pulled up to a place full of bikes, bikers, cigarettes and waitresses in skimpy shorts. Again, there's nothing wrong with this if that's what you are looking for. One of the bikers even approached my three-year-old son and told him how to pick up ""that hot waitress.""\r \r This same daily deal site also said that Duke's ""casual interior pays homage to American heritage."" It sure did pay homage... with beer towers! Again, fine if that's what you want but it was not a good environment for my young kids at 5:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon.\r \r All that being said, the food was really, really good. And the service was good. I will never go back, but I will always be hopeful that the chef and owner will open up something more family-friendly and with equally great food. more

I love Duke's 11/23/2008

I love Duke's and I am sad to see the negative response below. Everyone has a bad day every once and awhile. \r Every time I have been there, the staff have been super friendly, including the management.\r I suggest that you take my advice and give Duke's a try. They don't say ""it's where your friends are"" for nothing!\r Pros: Cheap drinks, great food, friendly service more

I love Duke's ribs. They are fall off the bone delicious more

Worst service. Hot waitstaff, but thats it. Bad attitudes all around. 8/10/2008

The waitresses all seem ticked off. The managers just seem to walk around in circles or talk to the doormen and police officers all night. Some fat manager was literally telling some guy ""I can kick you out any time I want"" because the guy was talking to a friend of his, not in a rude way, but the fat guy obviously was interested in the same woman. The only good thing about it was I got a laugh out of it while drinking near them.\r \r The waitresses are cute, but that's about where it ends. I enjoy bsing with the bartenders but this is not a place to go for good food or good service. Also if you dont tip the bartenders beginning with your first drink you will have to wait forever for your next. I think they were a couple, but I overheard them talking about this very thing. I of course tipped them up front which made me get faster service. But that is still BS. Ever since Buffalo Wings opened across the street that is my new place to go. Dukes is old, dirty, and the service is just horrible and the managers are pretty much jerks and useless it seems other then to cause more drama. Pros: Big place, cheap drinks, hot waitresses Cons: Poor service, bad attitutdes, EXPECTED tips not EARNED, and place smells like a sewer... more

Used to be a favorite hang out......not anymore! 1/6/2008

We joined a large group of friend's @ Duke's yesterday. I've always liked the atmosphere & enjoyed our visits, until then. When I ordered our drinks I verfied with the bartender that it was $2 U-call-its. So I order margaritas made with premium tequila. After three rounds (6 total), I was horrified to find that my tab was $50! When I spoke with the management I was told that premium liquors are exempt from the special. I asked why I had not been informed of this when I ordered & was told that the bartenders are ""very busy""! Management did not offer a price adjustment or even an apology! I always thought that u-call-its were just that! After this wonderful experience we won't be going back! more

  • In Short
The casual atmosphere here is accented by neon beer signs, arcade games and TVs. More for the party goers and less for the quiet diners, Duke's is popular for relaxing after work...
