For a specialty Childrens Boutique I was quite saddened by the behavior of the owner/shop. I went in to browse over the weekend with my Aunt and two children. I turned my back for only a minute to find this woman screaming at the top of her lungs at my 5 yr old son! Cons: Not children Friendly, Very Poor Customer Service more

If you are looking for a special outfit for you baby/children, you will find it here. They have beautiful hats, bows, outfits, etc. The problem is... The prices are so high :-( it has to be a special outfit due to the fact its hard to spend a lot knowing they will soon grow out of it. I did buy my daughters 1 year old birthday party outfit there (when she was 4 months). I've purchased some hats and socks there. Their clothes are first class! I wish they had more sales. I bought a baptism outfit for my son today it was a very nice experience, the lady over there in the store is very accomodating and nice. They do have tons of nice clothes (specially unique one) where you can't find in other store like carter's or childrens place. Plus the place is really cozy and warm! My mother-in-law and I absolutely love this store. Anytime I need an outfit for a picture or special occassion we can always find something there. I love how they have hair bows that match all their clothes. The staff have always been helpful and kind. All I know is my daughter never looks cuter than when she is wearing an outfit from the Duck Pond. more

ALWAYS HAS A GREAT SELECTION OF CLOTHES. OFFERS A NICE SELECTION OF BETTER QUALITY CLOTHING THAN OTHER STORES. I HAVE TAKEN MY DAUGHTER IN THE STORE NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE PARENTS WATCHING THEIR CHILDREN IN A STORE. STORES ARE NOT A PLAYGROUND. more

I am a local and have always heard that people receive horrible customer service, but I had my own AWFUL experience there last week. The owner yelled at my 2 year old child for simply starting to go up their stairs (un-gated I might mention). When I very calmly reminded her that it is, in fact, a children's store- she came at my children and I, red faced and yelling! Three other patrons stepped in to tell the woman she was out-of-line, but she followed us out to the curb irate and irrational. Protect yourself and STAY AWAY. In today's economy where baby boutiques are a dying breed, one would expect the Duck Pond's customers would be important. BUYERS BEWARE. While this store has some VERY cute children's clothing, it has a terrible return policy. I received an adorable outfit as a shower gift that is way to small for our little one--it says it will fit up to 11 lbs, but it is actually smaller than a newborn outfit when you compare it to other sizes. I tried to return it or even exchange it, but they refused because the item had gone on sale. I was willing to take the sale price rather than the original price so that I could at least get something usable out of the gift, but they refused that as well. Their only suggestion was to regift the outfit. Their return policy in general is ridiculous, as they won't return anything after 30 days, even if you have a receipt, and if it goes on sale before that, then you are completely out of luck. For the prices you pay for the clothes at this store, that is ridiculous. I would highly suggest avoiding this store--for the same price and quality you can go to Nieman Marcus or Nordstrom's and not have to worry about the return policy.
