When given the choice between most sit-in diners, I normally stray away from Denny’s. The service is typically slower than most places. The food is typically of poorer quality. But at the end of the day, most of the complaints I have with the joint are just me being nitpicky.
All in all, Denny’s is a great place to hang with friends and grab a bite to eat if you’re still awake at 3am in the morning after playing poker for a couple hours straight (I speak from experience here). There’s usually nothing too special about the menu and selection of dishes available… although Denny’s does boast a few dishes and menu items unique to their establishment. I’m very partial to Moons Over My Hammy and a glass of their chocolate milk.
If given the choice between Denny’s and any other place, I’d probably be at IHOP or TGI Friday’s. But if I’m craving something quick and cheap, like some nachos, or moons over my hammy, or heck if I’m feeling nostalgic, then Denny’s is where I’ll be.
