Original head gasket repair was done in Oct, 2013. My F350 6.0 was orginally diagnosed by a Ford Dealership with a blown head gasket and bed plate gasket leak(39K on turck). Was told by friends with 6.0 Ford trucks to rebuild with after mkt. parts (Bulletproof). Robert at Dealer Alternative also diagnosed the bad head gaskets, but said I was in luck: The bed plate seal was not leaking. After the head gasket replacement and other work done to the truck, it just ran great! But I did notice a oil leak on my newly poured cement driveway. The leak got to a point of being about the size of half dollar. I did take the truck back to Robert who replaced a bad alternator, but since it was after closing time they couldn't chk. the oil leak.
I was in Rancho Cucamonga close to Robert's shop on March 4, 2014, I took the F350 in re: the oil leak. Mechanic said you've got a leaking bed plate seal.
Robert apologized for the misdiagnosis of the bed plate and said he'd give me a discount on the repair. Which I really appreciated. But, I'm still going to have my engine disasembled again and removed from the truck, not realy a good thing.
One day short of six weeks later, orginal estimate was three to four days, my truck's bed plate repair was completed. The truck runs geat so far and don't see any oil leaks. I did see a scratch on by driver's side left fender and the front chrome grill is not fastend correctly on the bottom. So, that's my experience with this repair. I'll fix the scratch with Ford touch up paint and since I'm taking the truck to the Ford Dealership re: fwd not engaging I'll have them secure the front grill.
