I thought that shopping for my wedding dress was supposed to be one of the most exciting days of my life. I had an appointment at 1pm to start trying on dresses. A really sweet consultant that I thought I would be working with handed me a book and told me to pick out some styles that I liked. Well somehow there was a mix up and I got put with another consultant. I didn't see her until close to 2pm. She told me that I had picked out too many styles and to tell her what I liked and she'd pull some dresses for me. She picked out 3 dresses for me to try on, none of them were ""me"" and she didn't bother to notice she was putting one size too big on me, as I later found out from another dress shop. I've always been told that when you find ""the dress"" you'll know, but I didn't feel that with any of these dresses. She pressured me into buying them saying all the dresses I tried on were discontinued. We were talking about dress colors also and she said that I wouldn't look right in an ivory dress. I came to find out at the other shop that ivory acctually looks better on me because with a tan skin tone the white makes me look slightly washed out. I said that I didn't feel like any of those dresses were the one that I would be wearing on the most important day of my life, but she didn't offer to help me pick out some more to try on or even to let me go look myself for something that I liked. All she talked about was how ready she was to go on her break. I could have cared less how cheap their dresses are, if she had asked me she would have known that I had a $1,500 budget and wasn't interested in the discount-rack. For a store that's supposed to be providing the most important part of a wedding, they could really care less about finding out about their customers. Go to Ballew Bridal in Collierville, you'll be much more satisfied!!!
