My daughter was married yesterday, and everyone raved at how stunning she looked. I have to say that, even though we got her gown at David's, the compliments were in spite of David's, not because of them. We started out with one consultant, didn't buy, and when we came back the second time, found she no longer worked there! The second consultant could not have been more disinterested, but my daughter, her aunt, and I found the perfect gown for her. When we came back for 5 bridesmaids' gowns, she didn't acknowledge us. A charming tall dark haired young man did approach us, did a great job, and got our business. The alterations department was the worst of the lot. Virtually everyone we spoke to can only be described as superior-sounding and snotty. The bustling was done with large, clear, very obvious-looking buttons, 7 of them, and when we were unhappy with the look, were told that no one looks at that anyway. We did end up with small fabric-covered bustle buttons, but the appropriate response SHOULD have been, ""Ma'am, we appreciate your business; you are absolutely right; we will take care of the problem right away.""
