I have been bringing my cars here for about 20 years. The 1st time I was in my early 20's and was living away from home and my dad's help and his repair man. My female professor recommended their service and I have been a loyal customer ever since. They not only give great service, but they're honest. more

John's honesty and integrity are UNBEATABLE, and his estimates are always spot on. If you think you can't trust a mechanic, think again... Used them before bad experience!!! Don't go by the reviews, funny how all the bad reviews are checked off and the good reviews same people are on Google and Yahoo quoting the exact same things saying how great they were!! You've been warned!! more

I know, having to get my car serviced at anytime is never good news...I don't like spending money on my car but I know it has to be serviced to keep it running so I don't get stranded somewhere. I have had excellent, professional service everytime I had my car serviced at Clear Lake Auto Service! There have been times when I thought I needed more work done but to my suprise, they found out it was actually nothing but an adjustment that had to be made instead of something major! Being a female, it is sometimes difficult to find a place that won't take advantage of females in that they think we know nothing about cars, which is not true in my case. This place takes care of us and does not rip us off :0) Oh, did I mention that they let me borrow one of their cars so I could shop in the area while my car was being worked on? They called me when my car was done , rotated my tires for me since I told them I was going on a trip the following day and washed me car...for free :0) Thanks for all your help! When i needed my water pump replaced on my F150 i had been calling around diff shops for prices. I talked to 1 of there service writers who explained to me that it would be best if i brought the truck to the shop for them to look at to verify the pump was bad and also if it needed any other services. After they had looked it over and explained what they had found,they gave me a ride home, fixed my truck,then picked me back up all in the same day! I also found they had it washed and vacuumed...pretty cool. Thanks guys! more

I was referred to clear lake auto by two different friends about eight years ago after having used many other dissatisfying local shops and I can honestly say Clear Lake Auto?s lower rates for a higher caliber of labor and knowledge are unbeatable. Now, I take both of my own vehicles and have referred them to all of my family and friends. I worked in a chain auto repair shop as an auto tech for 2 years and recognize Clear lake Auto on a much higher level of professionalism an more innovative thinking. I have been using Clear Lake Auto for almost five years to service my wide variety of autos. They include vintage Olds 442, Lincoln Mark 111, T-Bird, MG Midget and a modern Mercedes SL. I have taken my 11 year old BMW to Jiffy Lube several times in the past and paid the standard $40. Clear Lake Auto charged me $108 for an oil change! They also charged me $145 to diagnose the problem with my rear window. They DID NOT fix the problem, but charged me $145 to tell me what was wrong. I will NEVER GO BACK!!!
