Classic Openings

Don't do business with Classic Openings!! I should have read these reviews before hiring them. They improperly installed a skylight and I found them to be very hard to deal with. I ended up hiring a roofer to remove and re-install the skylight -- at a cost of $350. more

Beware and do your homework before letting this outfit set foot on your property. Quotes you reasonable prices and then once the work (shoddy at that ) is done your reasonalbe price is doubled. This company does not have its own installation personnel, but hires out subcontractors that leave a mess. And if you disagree, Jack Kelcher will place and lien on your property which is simple to do in Texas, but a nightmare to remove. I would look elsewhere if I were you. NOTE: I have also read reviews that Mr. Kelcher has put in about his own company but done it anonymously. Scam artist from the get go. Fred E. Carrollton, TX more

WOW - UTILITY BILLS CUT IN HALF.... Classic installed new vinyl windows in our home, and demonstrated their new high performance Zo-E glass. I guess I had expected some improvement and perhaps I have become calloused by advertising hoopla. I expected that some of the information I was given was just sales exaggeration, which I have long ago learned to ignore. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. These windows provided much more than I ever expected. Less drafts, less dusting, less noise, and thankfully much lower utility bills. My windows should pay for themselves from utility savings alone in less than 3 years. Great people, Great products, Great job. Much better than expected. Highly recommend. I was really ignorant and they educated me, steered me right, and certainly didn't take advantage of me. I compared what I was charged with what neighbors and co-workers paid, and I was too embarrassed for them to let them know how much less I paid, but I sure am passing the word on to my friends and co-workers who haven't yet replaced their windows or doors. I retained this company to replace ALL the windows in my two story home in Highland Park. This involved some 75 + openings. I used Anderson replacement windows. The work was excellent, timely, clean-up flawless, price was reasonable. The reduction of noise was astounding and the air conditioning and heating bills plummeted.\r \r I have recommended them to numerous others and I personally recommend them without equivocation.\r \r more

These people really know their stuff ! Honest, sincere but most of all knowledgeable. They provide many choices with price, performance, durability, and warranty spelled out, and demonstrated. A customer can then make an informed and educated decision, without just relying on advertising info and exaggerations. They did a professional job on replacing my windows, kept everything clean and neat and when they left you would never have known that the new windows weren't included when the house was built. Willing to spend time educating customers about differences in performance, warranty, price, pay-back period etc. Not just motivated by making sales, but more about providing options and benefits so customers can make informed decisions. This owner ordered me the wrong window and then refused to take it back. He actually wanted me to pay for another window and blamed me for not knowing the correct Andersen coding. Watch out!! BUYER BEWARE!! He got my money for his screw up, don't let him take yours!! Cons: Does not care about the customer. more
