Chicago's Pizzeria

I am from Chicago, was brought up on Chicago Pizza ... and this is not Chicago Pizza. I am not saying it is bad pizza, in fact it is pretty ok pizza, especially for Florida. However, a bit of an insult to Chicago Style Pizza, they need to change their name. None-the-less, certainly better than the chain pizzas you can order. more

Dissappointed with Calzone. Little meat and cheese. I figured for the price they'd fill it up a bit. On top of that they charge you a $1 just to use ur credit card. Place has potential but needs to seriously stop limiting the meat and cheeses or lower price. more

I don't know where to start....\r Ordered the large Deluxe Calzone, house salad and 12 wings.\r Took about an hour to get it delivered, which was 20-30 mins longer then promised.\r We`ll start with the salad, 1 small handful of lettuce a VERY LARGE handful of white mushrooms a couple tablespoons full of peppers and a squirt of ranch dressing. Think i had 5 forks of lettuce and it was gone.\r The wings were just deep fried wings, a small container of hot sauce wrapped in foil. The wings were big but that is it.\r The Calzone... WOW just BAD \r Probably a 14" pizza folded in half. NO ricotta cheese at all, very little mozzarella a few pieces of chicken, TONS of white mushrooms and the roasted pepper mix.\r a small 2oz tub of marina sauce was wrapped in foil in the box. \r I'd recommend skipping this place and starving. more

Where to begin...Well, just went to this place for lunch. I ordered a chicago style pizza. While waiting for the pizza two firefighters having lunch next to me had just asked for the manager because they had a roach walking on their table.\r Than, my pizza arrived after 30 minutes. Nothing even close to a chicago deep dish! one single layer of filling, and the dough was uncooked in the center!\r I had one slice and that was too much! The sauce on top of the pizza was just out of a can...\r I have eaten pizza all over the U.S. and in other countries and by far this was one of the worse ones! more

1. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. The man brought me a cheese slice. I told him that wasn't what I ordered. He took it back and added pepperoni on the same pizza, reheated it and brought the same pizza back to me. The cheese was dry and the pizza became stiff.\r \r 2. I got 3 words for the lasagna.....""too damn salty"". If you plan to order lasagna, make sure you do not have a heart condition. These people can't cook. I highly recommend Pommodore A++++. My husband and I ordered a pizza from here and I found not one but two hairs in my food. They are right down the street from my house and it took them forever to get here. If you live in the area order from Pommodoro's there food is much better and they are not disgusting. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!! In the beginning, I thought it was a small place, but it's true that good things come in small packages. The service was excellent. My wife had the chicken parmesan and the homemade marinara sauce was very tasty. My son and I had a supreme pizza and boy did they pile on the toppings. The crust was good and unique. They are pretty fast on their service because we were going to the movie theater next door and we had plenty of time to eat since the food was quick. Chicago style pizza hasn't made it to the beach yet! As a native of the Windy City, this pizza wouldn't even pass at the food court of the mall. Deep dish pizza doesn't mean a crust twice as thick as a regular crust. It should be baked 'in a pan', with fresh ingredients, not those from a can or wherever the heck that stuff came from! The entire pizza coloring was grey (mushrooms, cheese, sausage) except for the olives. Pass on this place...unless you only want volume for the value. Then you'll be full....but not happy.
