Chef's China Bistro opened after new owners completely remodeled, this restaurant. A lovely fountain and tree highlight the entrance and add ambiance to the setting. A lovely Asia...

BEST KEPT SECRET 2/25/2009

My husband and I were introduced to Chef's Bistro last Dec. And believe me, we have visIted quite a bit since. I've even taken my co-worker who is very hard to please and she LOVED IT!! I am taking another co -worket next week as well. The word is spreading best Chinese food in HAYWARD!!! Come one come all!! Pros: EXCELLENT ALL AROUND Cons: GETS TO CROWEDED more

Delicious, Nice Environment 4/24/2008

I remembered the first time when friend had asked out to dine over there. As soon as I heard the name I thought it's going to be another PF Chang. However, after I had been to there, I love it. They dont have any gimmick thing like mixing sauce in front of you. In fact, I have no idea what those people are doing with the sauce. Anyway, the food is far better than my experience. They know what they are cooking and doing. Very good! They definitely have wonderful food especially their wontons. I am in love with them. If you ask me to choose, I would recommend you to go to them instead of PF Chang. Also, the place is very nice and neat. more

Great food, good atmosphere--brown rice a plus 9/4/2006

China Bistro is a great addition to the area. Good food--fresh and well prepared. A bit more creative--both food and atmosphere--than the standard Chinese storefront restaurant. A couple of dishes were a little sweet for my personal taste, but there's plently of alternatives. Diners have a choice of brown or white rice--an option I personally appreciate. Pros: Great food, nice setting--brown rice a plus Cons: some sauces a little sweet for my taste more

I have been going here regularly, since they first opened...its one of the nicest chinese restaurants I have been to (and I have been to A LOT, throughout the Bay). The food is great and the service is excellent! Wonderful addition to downtown Hayward! more
